    Buy what your pocket book will allow On bow’s. Arrows upgrade to smaller diameter with 2’’ Blazers like Easton FMJ’s and aero dynamic broad-heads G-5 Strikers, Montec’s , slick tricks etc. for elk go heavy arrow we shoot 556gr.

    Afer you lower draw weight lots of reps will help your muscels get stronger then you can go up in poundage…..good luck,

    Dude it a no brainer….injuries happen plus we get older ,,,,lower the poundage to your now managable draw weight…..re-sight in the bow.

    55lbs is plenty I shoot 56# just use a heavy arrow 500gr. Plus and she will total pass throughs on elk at 40yds.

    I have looked into those hunts in years past, unless you have really deep pockets, consider getting a top guided hunt in AZ or NM you can get a great bull and save in the long run. Those reservation hunts are not what you think. They keep the big bulls for there long term return big money...

    There is a REASON Idaho does not allow mechanicals for elk. a sharp cut on contact on a heavy arrow we shoot 566gr FMJ340 G5 strikers, good luck.

    We carry our G20’s on holster with belt clip, usually clip holster to backpack strap then if dropping pack for a stalk attach holster to belt clip.
