I spent a few years working on the St George temple remodel. I do structural steel. It was really something to see the work from 150 years ago, and add to it with modern engineering. That one was built 1871-1876.

I know the app dates were later, but how did the final tag number approval date (5/4 this year) compare to previous years? They weren’t able to do the drawing any earlier than the numbers were established before. I’d imagine it be rather similar to previous years.

That was my understanding. It was intended to be somewhat of a gradual change over the next couple years, to try and gauge the adjustment. I expected a notable jump in tags this year, to get things changing. Then again, like you mentioned, winter may be a big factor this year…

I agree anything it gathers is probably already available from satellites. This just feel a little closer to being an intrusion, in our airspace. Doesn’t seem right. I have absolutely no background or experience with this sort of thing, but it seems like something we shouldn’t allow.

Just heard a report saying the Chinese claim it’s a weather balloon that drifted off course, and they apologize for the intrusion… that’s pretty dang far off course! That sounds about as legitimate as “the dog ate my homework”.

keep in mind, there’s people on most all of the main trails, and to find deer you should look to get away from people… hike a trail for a ways, then branch off to get away from all the hikers.

It looked like it’s on the east side of the 15, I think that’s Fillmore, but not Oak Creek? Is this the same fire, or is the state starting it’s annual burn all over the place?

Mine showed up yesterday. I always expect it sooner than they arrive tho.

Plus 1 for OnX. I used to use a mix of google earth and the Utah hunt planner, as well as my Garmin, but OnX is so much smoother and better. I haven’t compared them head to head with Basemap or Gaia, but I haven’t needed to, as OnX has worked great for me.

There are elk in there, but according to DWR, there’s roughly 600 of them, and about a 2.6% success rate in that unit. (Just looking at Hunt Planner reports)

Slightly off topic, I know, but- I’m wondering why the general season any bull archery runs to September 22, while LE is still cut off at the 17th. It just seemed a bit odd to me, I guess...

Did any one glance at the online comments for the fur bearer and cougars? I saw 84 pages of nearly nothing but antis staying “extremely dissatisfied”
