    How wide

    25” wide without the velvet
  2. buckspotter7

    Gross or net??

I’d go with gross for non-typical bucks. Count every bit of antler on freaky bucks. If we’re talking typical bucks, symmetry is cool so I go with net score.
  3. buckspotter7

    Any idea what he scores

Short main beams and inside spread will hurt. Pretty solid tine length and mass w/eye guards. I’d put him right at 160.

any one wanna talk NR pronghorn with me?

The tag cuts will really mess with the draw odds. It will take a couple seasons just to see how it turns out in some areas. Hope for a quick rebound in numbers and some tag increases or 6 points won’t get you much. It will take 9 or 10 in the decent public land units.

    Big two points

No one out west calls them brow tines. They are eye guards!

elks96, if you weren’t a recent Colorado transplant your words might have some credit. I guess you’ve changed your Colorado plates by now

    Just curious on W.

Are they Wyoming bucks? Did you kill them as a Non Resident?
  12. buckspotter7

    Just curious on W.

Almighty “R” elks96, maybe you’ll start killing some decent bucks once you’ve lived in Wyoming for a few years.
  13. buckspotter7

What does this buck score ?

I agree, my guess is high 150’s.
  14. buckspotter7

    Which one?

Or lower mule deer to 160. No contest 180 mule deer

Changing My Tune on Western Wyoming Mule Deer

Good point! Seems like 10-15 years into limited quota areas there are a lot of huge 3x3’s, wierd forkies and management type bucks. Areas with balanced harvest of all types of bucks seems to hold a population of all types of bucks. Late hunts also seem to cause a decrease in large quality bucks...

Changing My Tune on Western Wyoming Mule Deer

I bet most of the Non-Residents commenting here have hunted G and H longer than elks96 has been a WY resident.

    180 inch Columbia Blacktail Buck

plus 1 on the spindly bases. “fro” looks wierd, tiny ear and pedicle gap too wide. Taxi fake (mule deer antlers, blacktail cape) is my guess!

Apply separately. 1 X5b and 1 East Lassen muzzy. If you get lucky, make two trips. If you don’t both draw, you’ll have a good idea what to do next year
