Hello all, My son and dad have the 21 hunt this weekend. Unfortunately our plans got trashed as my son had surgery yesterday. He is gonna be able to hunt, but not where we wanted to. Are there deer around chloride? My dad wants to go there, but I have never been there.

AND it’s a lot healthier for you. That’s the biggest plus of eating wild game. Who knows what they put in store bought meat now.

Saw two packs in 16a last week. And one solo, but running over the hill, so I’m sure his pack was on the other side.

It was. Even when they bugled it wasn’t loud. Could barely hear them in the same canyon some times. I’ve never seen it like that. I only saw one bill with cows. The rest were solo or with other bulls. Extremely strange.

I came back late Saturday. Had to get ready for work today. Had quite a few opportunities. Passed some smaller bulls, chased a monster for a few days. Messed up on a good 6x6 at 12 yards. Overall fun hunt, but they were extremely quiet. Most only chuckled when they responded.

You aren’t lying it’s been quiet. One day they were bugling good out of the whole hunt. I thought I hit the jackpot drawing this tag, but it’s been nothing but miles and miles and few opportunities.

I know sportsman’s here in cruces gets some in every week.

EXACTLY! Just like las cruces school district asking for public input about going years round. Despite 85% being strongly opposed, they did it anyways. They don’t care what the public wants or needs, only their agenda and what lines their pocket.

That area is extremely bad. As are other parts of the state. I have called game and fish for access issues, and all I’ve ever gotten is “we will send someone”. No one ever shows up.

Hahaha you know it. My hunting partner who drew the tag with me will be out there next weekend, and I will be the following. Have some areas I want to check out, nowhere near anywhere I’ve been in the unit before.
