It's looking like I picked the perfect week to freeze my a$$ off out there! I work nights so I wont be able to head out until mid day Monday. Hoping to beat the snowstorm and at least get into the unit and setup camp. If not I guess I can just stay in one of Austins fine motels :ROFLMAO:

@Simple man very true about the middle of the night! I work 4pm to 4am and see quite a few during my workday. My only gripe with the system is once you have a tag added to your cart you can’t see the hunting unit or dates.

Yeah I am really digging the setup for the FCFS. Best I seen pop up was a 231 archery bull tag. If I knew how to shoot archery that would have been awesome. Seen a couple cow elk tags pop up, today saw an ALW bull elk for 051. A good way for NDOW to still get some $$$, hope anyone that picks one...

Anyone ever target any of the units besides 102-103 with any success? Looking to avoid crowds if possible. Not after any sort of trophy, I'm a freezer filler kind of guy. Took a cow elk in 108 last year and saw some deer and deer hunters but didn't hear many shots in the four days we were in...

That’s a beaut congrats! Can confirm Cherry Creek is still jam packed full of hunters. Didn’t see a ton of elk out there but didn’t spend much time either. Drove past at least 10 camps and decided to head elsewhere.

When does your season start? I’m heading out tomorrow for party cow. I saw one bull scouting last month but gunna target some different areas for the hunt.

Reviving an old thread, but how did it go? I have the same unit but early season so only a few weeks away. Went scouting last week and saw a small herd of cows and one bull way far off. A lot of the area I looked at online was all dried up and dead so that was a little discouraging.
