Im curious how a tannery could sell a persons personal property to recover costs if they paid the taxidermist but taxidermist didnt pay the tannery and then the tannery sold the property for lack of payment from the taxidermist. Wouldnt this violate some of Utahs consumer protection laws?

I am trying to get my hide back but before a judge will give you ownership you have to show you have some evidence its yours. If you are sueing for 15K of less you go thru small claims in Santaquin court but you cannot get your hide back but you can sue for its worth or you can sue in Provo...
