I would stay available and close. My brother had the same message from the range. At the last minute they opened the hunt with little notice.

Upgraded this year from a 20 year old Bow Tech extreme solo to a Bow Tech Zion Carbon. OMG what a difference!!!!

Don’t kid yourself about desert areas. We have them in New Mexico and are expanding!!

I’m my opinion there should be a much higher limit on cats and the season should be year round.

I helped my buddy with his unit 51 muzzleloader hunt. The wind was crazy and cold. The open sights are a challenge. He hit the bull the first shot at 80 yards. Not the best shot!!! He reloaded and I cow called, when the bull lifted his head he shot him in the neck dropping him.

On occasion I do also carry a 629 SW mountain revolver in 44mag. With 300 grain Hornady EXPs.

Alaska guide chest pack

Glock 20. 10mm with 200 grain XTP ammo. 2, 15 round magazines in a chest holster.

It’s a shame when the fines for poaching are cheaper than a tag or a guided hunt.

I helped out a good friend on that hunt last year. Saw several antelope in the high 80’s. It is one of those hunts you can be picky. Lost of access and plenty of quality.

I fear they will be as much as they can get. I used to pay $1,000 for a bull and $200-300 for a cow tag. I know those days are long gone. I found a cow tag for my brother last year $800. That was a deal. Bull tags are $4k to the sky. State wide.
