Goods new for me - they increased the number of 3rd season tags by 10 (30%) for the unit I put in for. I may be hunting CO in mid-Nov. Of course, there's still the point creep issue . . .

I ended up applying last nite. Went for a 3rd season deer tag. Figuring on 2 pt minimum creep. Have 3 pts above what it took to draw last year. We'll see how bad it really is.

Not yet - my son drew a sheep tag for the early Delta (DCUA) unit. His hunt is the early season - 15 days. I have 40 days for my unit. Will be talking to Meekins this week.

Put close to $7k on the CC today as a NR. Sheep, elk, deer, prongy, ibex and oryx. Can't win if you don't play the game. If nothing else, I get ~7k in airline miles. Haven't played the game in NM since 2013.

I hunted 67 last year. There are antelope pretty much everywhere, but I'd agree that South of tha main paved road that biscects the unit (E to W) is the best area. I went in at the end of September and hardly saw anyone else. Unless you want to combat hunt, I'd delay and let things clear out...

67-1 Antelope for me. My first speedgoat hunt- burned my 9 NR points. If I see a big muley buck I will pass on info to anyone with the 90-1 deer tag. I plan on going in October for my antelope.
