We ended up putting in for unit 111. Now we play the waiting game. Things did get a little sideways on this thread but I wanted to thank everyone for their input. Thank You
I do know about the late hunt in 111 is combined with unit 22. That's one of the things that makes 111 interesting. Thanks all of you for your comments so far.
I'm considering applying for Elk in Unit 111 or Unit 24 type 1 this year. If successful I would archery hunt early and then rifle hunt the late hunt if I don't tag out. Any thoughts about these two units would be appreciated.
I agree. I was hoping to find an area with fewer people even if it meant fewer elk. I'll keep researching and maybe I'll find a spot. It does look like I'll be able to go over and look at the country in early August. That way I'll at least have a feel for the country.
I drew the Wasatch Muzzleloader tag this year and am very excited to come to Utah and hunt Elk. I'm from Wrstern Oregon and have chased Rosie's my whole adult life. My plan is to come early, to my hunt, to do as much scouting as possible. It's a big unit and I haven't seen any of the country so...
I am new to the forum. Just found out I was drawn for the late season rifle Nevada Mule deer hunt for area 6. I am a non resident and unfamiliar with the area. Can any one help me out with information about the units?
