No not a personal problem. I did not apply for sheep.

    Commision Meeting

I'm doubtful many non-res applicants for area 5 will realize they have zero chance of drawing in the random draw for a sheep tag this year. Last year looked like it was 1 in 1700 for random odds.

Wyoming G and H non resident tags cut again

I think a 1 by 13 point restriction for about 3 years would help the buck ratio and put a few nicer bucks on the mountain :) The 4-point restriction is a joke.

2024 NR elk applications - special vs regular

I don't mind seeing the price increase, it will make some areas have a lot better draw odds. It gives me and other hunters the option to decide if it's worth it to us. Which I feel is the reason for the price difference being in place. Whether you agree with it or not, a large difference between...

What do you think it would take for region G to come back?

Yeah that would make a few guys happier at the trailhead. I’m not really sure how many tags go nonresident now. I think it’s only at 200. Which if 5-6000 guys are hunting it, It probably has some effect

What do you think it would take for region G to come back?

What are your thoughts about region G coming back in the future? What would it take? I’m doubtful it will ever come back to what it was just 10 years ago. Just curious of what others think

    Solo Bull Hunt

I went solo, but I would tell people to have a buddy or two, I feel it would greatly increase your chances of seeing the bear first.

    Solo Bull Hunt

I didn’t have anything serious like getting mauled or ran up a tree. With the number of encounters I had, I’m surprised that more people don’t get attacked. I was just packing a 44 at first, it holds 6 rounds. Then when I seen a group of 4 bears together, I added the bear spear to the...

I generally hunt by myself. For the reasons you listed. My wife hunts, and my son is old enough to hunt next year. I am looking forward to that experience with him.

    Solo Bull Hunt

Here is the bull I was able to harvest this fall. I was able to locate serval nice bulls over my 10 days of hunting. When I seen this guy it was all over. I seen him from across the canyon from a few miles away, then was able to stalk into just over 300 yards to take the shot. I'm always...

    winter kill unit 600

I'm not sure the last time you hunted the area, but if its been three years or longer, I feel you will be in for a real surprise. I feel that herd has dropped by 30% per year for the last 4 years, and that's before this winter.

    Fingers Crossed for the Deer

On a positive note with the already low deer numbers, now this extremely bad winter, I feel most nonresidents will be less likely to return to hunt for a few years after what they see this fall.

    Region 6 mule deer meeting

Is anyone aware of any groups trying to take action with legislature to cap or limit tags. (Not that it really matters but I am a resident) I truly feel that the severe decline in recent years needs to be addressed, if we wait to long I'm not sure the herds would recover. I want to get...
