I'm doubtful many non-res applicants for area 5 will realize they have zero chance of drawing in the random draw for a sheep tag this year. Last year looked like it was 1 in 1700 for random odds.

I think a 1 by 13 point restriction for about 3 years would help the buck ratio and put a few nicer bucks on the mountain :) The 4-point restriction is a joke.

Yeah that would make a few guys happier at the trailhead. I’m not really sure how many tags go nonresident now. I think it’s only at 200. Which if 5-6000 guys are hunting it, It probably has some effect

What are your thoughts about region G coming back in the future? What would it take? I’m doubtful it will ever come back to what it was just 10 years ago. Just curious of what others think

I had lots of bear issues during the hunt, but none while packing out the meat.

I generally hunt by myself. For the reasons you listed. My wife hunts, and my son is old enough to hunt next year. I am looking forward to that experience with him.

Similar to all the reports above, I drove from Billings to Gillette two weeks ago. I seen roughly 15 antelope.... It's going to be rough for years to come.

I'm not sure the last time you hunted the area, but if its been three years or longer, I feel you will be in for a real surprise. I feel that herd has dropped by 30% per year for the last 4 years, and that's before this winter.

On a positive note with the already low deer numbers, now this extremely bad winter, I feel most nonresidents will be less likely to return to hunt for a few years after what they see this fall.
