I appreciate the feedback from everybody. We got our flights booked and August 1 is the start of our hunt. I’m excited to experience Africa with my family. I will definitely give a hunt recap when it’s over. Thanks again for all of the advice
I will definitely add some days to the hunt to make the most of it. I do have some concern that he doesn’t have much on Facebook or a website but it seems like a small family owned business. I think of me and my business with not having either Facebook or a website and that’s how I like it...
I am leaning toward using the outfitter rifles. I just wanted to travel light and was trying to avoid all of the extra involved with taking my rifle. The hunt I purchased is for 2 hunters and 2 observers so I plan to take my kids and wife and thought it just was easier to not worry about guns
I purchased a safari package that Horabe Hunting Safaris with Pieter Schalk Grobbelaar in Northern Namibia donated to an SCI auction. I have spoken with Pieter and chatted with him on what’s app a few times. He seems like a good guy and I’m excited to try Africa for my first time. I just wanted...
My son and I have a red stag hunt booked this coming spring with Duncan Fraser/ Cardrona Safaries. My son is a senior in highschool this year and 4 years ago he told me this was his dream hunt. I quickly said you work and save half of your hunt and I will pay the other half and go with you. We...
Cory, thank you for reaching your hand out to spread the joy that can be found in God. I also believe in God and I commend you for starting this post knowing that you were going to get plenty of resistance from it. I’m sure that you reached somebody with your message and for that I am grateful...

I’m sitting on 24 elk points here in SD for a black hills elk tag and still can’t seem to draw. After the 10 yr waiting period after drawing the tag when that day finally comes it will definitely be a once in a lifetime for me. Just crazy the demand. Good thing I throw my name in a few other...
I definitely don’t need the spotter but always feel lost without it. This is a first time moose trip for me so I thought the spotter would be helpful to judge 50” or 4 brow points. I’m looking to hopefully find good elevated vantage points and do a lot of glassing. I’m a little worried the 15’s...
Going to AK on a moose drop and needing to cut gear weight. We are quickly finding out how little 50 lbs of gear and food is. I usually have my 10’s around my neck and 15’s and spotter in the backpack for glassing off the tripod. I don’t want to give up the spotter so I’m thinking about using my...
I was wondering if anybody had moose hunted the North fork bar on the 40 mile river. I have moose dropped with 40 mile Air this upcoming season and just wanted to find out as much about this spot as I could. This will be my first moose hunt and wanted to learn as much as I could in the next 9...
That’s what I wanted to know as well. I did order a 50 count box of the 320 gr. I hope to put one to the test on a late season NM bull. I will post feedback on performance if I get lucky
I bought a10 pack of the 320gr fury universal fit 50 cal muzzleloader bullet to try. I Shot 3 - 3 shot groups with 95 gr, 100 gr and 105 gr by weight of black form 209 and my Remington ultimate was grouping well with 105gr. I’m kind of new in this muzzleloader game and I was wondering if you...
Thank you for info on both sides.
Foundation do you recommend going with the 30CB break along with it?
Tx hunter that is the same company I talked to. Silencer Central. I’m Here in SD so kind of limited on dealers in my area. I currently have a break on my RUM. Will I see much of a change in...
Does anybody have anything good or bad to tell me about the Banish 30 Gold suppressor? I am looking to get one and no reviews yet on Banish website. This will be my first can and it’s going on my wildcat 300 RUM. Your info is much appreciated
We went August 21-27,2019. They did a ridge top drop for us. Got snow the first day and then it melted off and was beautiful. 40 mile air was great. I’m going to try to get a moose drop with them in the next couple years. Repeat customers get open dates before they open it to new customers. I...
the only bou hunt in AK I have done was with 40 mile air. Great pilots and put us on game. We brought our own gear and were limited to 50# each but that was plenty. Tough to get in with them if not with a repeat but it was a great experience and I will definitely book with them again.
I think that a sheep deserves a life size mount. I know it’s pricey but for most people a once in a lifetime Opportunity. They are one of the most majestic animals we have the privilege to hunt. Just my thoughts...
Well we did eat some. Tasted little nasty and tough. We have a wild game feed here in our small sown and the rest went to that. They did it up with bbq sauce and pulled it. Took some of the game taste out but still not the best. Fun to have ibex on the menu though. Anybody saying it taste like...
Thanks for all the nice responses. I love getting to see everybody?s field and finished photos so I thought I would share. All animals were definitely once in a lifetime so I'm really glad I decided to do lifesize on them even though it probably wasn?t the best financial decision. It definitely...
Got a few mounts back from taxidermist today. Big shout out to Dakota Plains Taxidermy for the great work. My sons NM ibex and my sheep, wolf and mountain caribou from the NWT
