    AZ bans trailcams?

Long live freedom, capitalism, and one's right to do as they choose!

Gonna take a beating here. BUT....

I personally don't contribute to over-crowding...I'd never hunt an OTC tag in Idaho, but I have seen what it looks like! Perhaps part of the problem is as you say, your "entitlement" mentality? Hunting big game isn't an entitlement, its a privilege! If the game belongs to the state...

Gonna take a beating here. BUT....

I don't hunt your precious OTC tags, never have...never will! Total waste of time! Regardless of your "feelings", the state's population has grown substantially...and that's likely to continue, thus capping the tags and moving to a draw system is inevitable. Nobody specifically is to...

Gonna take a beating here. BUT....

How communist of you...and to think I / others dare to move to Idaho (free state / country) without the permission of KING IDbulls!? ? ?

Gonna take a beating here. BUT....

I didn't demand anything...nor has any of it affected me, I hunt limited / controlled hunts every year with no pressure and no crowding! People moving to "your" Idaho isn't gonna change because you throw a little hissy fit on MM. The real problem is residents like you who think you're...

    Idaho NR tag system

I honestly can't believe anyone would be surprised that a govt agency managed to have such an epic screw up? One look at how poorly IDFG has managed their deer herds should tell you all you need to know about epic govt failure!

Gonna take a beating here. BUT....

I moved to Idaho in 2018...the biggest problem I've seen is massive resident pressure! Nothing will change in Idaho until resident tags are drastically reduced and put on draw...IMO.

    CWMU expansion?

I'm pretty sure everybody "pays to play"...I can't recall anyone ever claiming they went hunting for "free". Licenses, gear, vehicles, travel, food, lodging, taxidermy, time off work, etc...I'm pretty sure all of that costs money whether one hunts public / private, or guided / unguided...

    CWMU expansion?

Well heck ya I'm going to use the resource...I pay for it too, just like you! That doesn't mean overall the wildlife don't succeed far better on land managed / protected by the private sector, than those on the public, IMO. I don't mean to insinuate public land should be made private...my...

    CWMU expansion?

Both were on public land...neither were gov tags, and everyone has the same chance to get em as I did. Yes, personally I'd love to see every bit of wildlife management in private hands...but we both know that'll never happen, so really its a moot point! But if govt was doing such a great...

    CWMU expansion?

I guess its all relative to how much time one spends making money, versus talking about it on the internet?!

    Ummm...ok!(y)
  13. G

    CWMU expansion?

With any luck for the wildlife, every acre of private land in the state will be under CWMU someday...the private sector can manage as much wildlife as possible, and maybe the critters will survive! I wouldn't let the govt manage my kid's lemonade stand...but where capitalism prospers, everyone...

How many of you kill meat bucks the last day?

Well...that really is the bottom line! Its hard to fault folks for "filling" a tag they've acquired, but its hard to help the problem when everyone's doing it too. Besides...I'll never understand how guys think venison is better than beef? ?

How many of you kill meat bucks the last day?

I have zero interest in shooting young / small anything...but that's just me! I find no difficulty, reward or gratification in it...and I can't ever imagine being that hungry!? Regardless, that's just my own personal feelings on hunting...if a guy has a tag, enjoys what he's doing and...

    Idaho is ruined

I've spent the last 3 years hunting Idaho...a lot! No "general tag" areas for anything, all limited areas...mostly hunting for elk. But I have spent 50 - 65 days per year in the field (in the summer / fall) and the deer situation in every unit I've been to is absolutely, completely and totally...

    Trophy Applications

I'm not so sure about the elk thing...I've hunted a couple of pretty good areas in MT, including 690, and I've not seen the quality of bulls I've seen / hunted / killed in Idaho since 2018.

    Sportsman's Elk Tag Filled

Yep...things like an area you've never been to, and he's hunted for the past 15 years! Seems like a smart move to me, when one has waited 10 - 20 yrs for his premium tag. That's a lot of time and money, not to invest a bit more into your success...IMO.

What an awesome bull...holy cow! I've shot a few 370"+ 6x6's...I'm pretty sure I'd take this one over them any day!

    My Idaho Report

In the past 3 seasons I've spent no less than 40 days afield...this year it was well over 60. All of which has been spread out across different units, mostly in southern Idaho. I've seen hundreds of great bull elk (taken 3 - all over 360") some great Shiras moose (shot a 170"+ bull in 2018)...

    Idaho Bighorn & Elk Success - 2020

Just thought I would share a few pics of the Rocky ram and bull elk I took this year in Idaho! The "Gem" state was a lot of fun this year for sure! I hunted the ram in early September, and shot the bull recently! Sorry for the poor field pics of the elk...I was all alone, so photos aren't the...

ISB Controlled Hunt Second Chance Proposal

Wyoming Guides can No Longer Scout for Outfitters???

Founder....after a lot of research, speaking with a bunch of "law" professors / attorneys I know personally, and a lot of years studying the law personally....would the WY state's "law" here hold water / claim"....no, not even close! It would easily beat beat, hands down...on several levels...

Wyoming Guides can No Longer Scout for Outfitters???

Free Market Capitalism dominates virtually every aspect of interstate commerce already...including hunting! If there was no demand for auction tags, LO tags, guided hunting, finder's fees, leases, etc, none of this would be an issue. We would all have one set price, a price set by the govt...

Wyoming Guides can No Longer Scout for Outfitters???

That right there is the issue Founder...a law like this is only as clear as the LEO / prosecutor interpreting it, as indicated by the gentleman above. Personally I don't like that...those who've taken "ethics in the law" know better, but its the hand they dealt!

Wyoming Guides can No Longer Scout for Outfitters???

Maybe those guys who "buy the buck" are in fact putting their time in at what they do best...making money to afford to "buy the buck?" Its all how you look at it I suppose? I know very little, if anything at all about this whole debate. My only issue as a whole is, govt continues to regulate...
