I've been working in 88. The last couple weeks I've been seeing all big winter groups have broke up and now the antelope a scattered all over. I'm seeing really nice bucks already on public and private. Probably the best horns I've seen out here in 3 years. Good year to have the tag.

I just googled European mount tree and it comes up with quite a few images of what I was talking about.

I've seen the vertical post/tree truck on casters with some habitat on the bottom. Looks real nice and it would be easy to move around. Another plus is you can make it as tall as whatever wall you are going to put it next to.

Well I drew deer the first time not this time. Im not too mad about that, but I now have 5 elk points for a unit that takes 4 or less normally. I think to many people turned in tags because of the floods last year. Now I have to decide whether or not it is worth that many points next year.

Dang, bad luck for me this year. I had a 50/50 chance, but they cut tags by 10 for the season I wanted. 4 points for me now.

I checked the numbers but the tag i put as 3rd choice doesnt show any number at all. I dont know if its becuse im on my phone and its not loading all the way or what. Dont really matter my 4th choice tag has less tags and higher success rates plus its only a 20 minute drive from home.

They must have cut tags quite a bit. I didnt draw my third choice which always has leftovers. Oh well good thing we get 4 choices guess im hunting white tails this year.

Good sized bear track. Talked to a wrangler for one of the outfitters in the area and he said every time they leave one certain camp a bear gets in the tent.

I'll second Estes Park Outfitters. I talked with the owner a few times and was gonna work for him but stuff fell through on my end. He is a great guy and kills some amazing bulls. Has a neat way of packing camps also.
