    AAO

Maybe he's changed but the Richard Baca I knew from AAO is vile at best, criminal at worst. I know he lost his guide license for a while.

Gonna miss the hunting here but........

Crazy, I was born and raised in NM, and just moved to Kodiak Alaska in December to lose the madness. What an amazing place to raise the kids, should have done it sooner. New Mexico what a dumpster fire, but that's what you get when Democrats are in power for 100 years.

Archery Scores in 2022 - Photo Contest

I posted this in the New Mexico thread, but figured I'd throw my name in the hat. My son has been really bugging me to get him a phone skope so maybe we can make it happen through this. It's usually the third day of the hunt where I begin wondering "How is it even possible, to kill a mature...

    Unbelievabull

It's usually the third day of the hunt where I begin wondering "How is it even possible, to kill a mature bull with a bow?" They are so weary and elusive, the old adage that's why they are big applies. Short version of the story, begins on day 5 after countless failures and being thoroughly...

    One More Story

A tag is good until the end of the hunt if you haven't harvested the animal by midnight on that date it becomes property of the state. So if you find it after that date you have to contact a Game Warden to purchase it.

    One More Story

Sometimes you can do everything right and still be wrong. Seeing a buck over 180" is rare, and having the chance to harvest one in southern New Mexico is rarer still. 2021's rainfall was extraordinary for deer antler growth as the monsoons hit in late July. This hunt my wife and I were lucky...

    Something to look at

Hello fellow hunters, I have a story to tell about last year's hunts. One day I blinked and he went from a newborn to a 12 year old, it boggles the mind how relative time is. The joy of getting to teach him why we hunt, how to hunt, and the joy of the hunt is by far some of my favorite...

    Matt Rinella on Social Media

You should listen to his podcast with Blood Origins, which was produced before this article was published it's hard to see the jealousy if you listen to him. It's difficult for me to argue one way or the other I see both points. Being a New Mexico resident I would like to draw a bull tag every...

    Heinrich's letter

Looking at this through two lenses, first being a guide and benefiting greatly from out of state hunters I realize reducing the amount of EPLUS tags will hurt me financially. Second being a resident and hunter I would love to draw more tags. Trying to be partial there are a lot of UW tags that...

    Mexican gray wolf recovery program

It is my contention that anti-hunters drive programs like this. They'd rather all the elk and deer be wiped out than for us to have the ability to hunt them. I ran into a guy this year on my elk hunt from Albuquerque, he was telling me back in the 60's and 70's the Sandia Mountains were loaded...
