The best advice I could give you is, just concentrate on a hand full of areas. Don't try and learn the whole area. It will be impossible to do that. Spend as much time as possible scouting, however you can.

The way I read it in their regs. You are correct. Only semi auto has a mag capacity restriction. But I would call and get a definite answer. Might even make a couple of calls to see if everyone is one the same page.

Just curious if anyone drew a 4th season unit 63 deer tag? What are your expectations?

I agree with elks96 the weather was horrible last year 3rd season. I picked up a returned deer tag for unit 62 third season. Unseasonably warm and the wind was blowing extremely hard for the first 5 days. Non stop and gusting to 40+mph. It made for some hard glassing.

Might check out Pierce Brother outfitters. He has been guiding in that unit for 20+ years.

I have heard both type of comments about unit 10, so I never gave it much thought. But like I say I'm not opposed to it. I just want a legitimate chance at a better than average buck, (something better than my biggest buck) If I do decide on 10 I will hit both of you up. Thanks again.

Yep, once again. It's all about managing for the wildlife. Opps I mean $$$$$$$$MONEY$$$$$$ Just give them more funds to waste on programs that don't have any benefit to wildlife, but the I'm sure the parks department will see substantial benefits.

There are some really good animals there I don't know if you are looking for deer or elk? But unless you have a minimum of 22+ points for elk and 17/18 points resident you will not be hunting there. They only give 4 public tags for elk and 2 for deer. I know a lady that drew her tag a few years...

Me too, what unit is your tag for? Mine is 62. Its been a very long time since I have hunted there. But it's close and I am not worried about using points to hunt it.

Thank you for mentioning this I was wondering the same thing. Is the process from turning in a tag taking that long to getting them posted or can we decide half way through a season we can turn our tags in? I'm sure it is just taking a long time to process.
