Would like to ask a question of the knowledgeable gun nuts on here. I bought a savage 99 in 375 Winchester and I'm getting some soot on the fired cases (pics below). Is this normal for straight wall? Will it hurt anything? I'm shooting a near maximum load of AA1680 behind a 235 Speer...

Thought this would be a cool picture to share. I've seen him twice on my property, never have seen a deer like this before.

Shot this buck Sunday night. Sorry for the crummy pictures, I had already started to cape him and realized I hadn't taken any. I tore my rotator cuff several years ago so I use a Ten Point venom crossbow now. 35 yards through the heart, went about 60 yards and piled up.

These are 2 whitetails my friends shot here in Iowa. The 8 point had both brow tines broke and the bigger deer was missing quite a bit as well. I really hate it when they have broke points x( x(.

Shot this one on the morning of the 31st. Taxidermist scored him at 185&5/8s gross. He broke a 6 or 7 inch tine off between his G-2 and G-3 on the right side :-(

Shot this last night, 162&4/8.

Decided to get a late muzzleloader tag and target this deer that showed up on my trail cams. Shot this one instead :D. I have no idea were he came from, I've never seen him before.

Shot this Sat. morning,260lbs live weight, 159 1/8. They'er starting to rut good but now I'm done :'(

Shot this Monday morning Oct. 24th. Had 21 does and fawns and 11 bucks come by my stand of which he was the biggest. 25 yard shot 139 2/8.

Looking forward to October 1st.

Found this on my property yesterday while looking for sheds, mainframe 8 scores 137-2/8, gross score is 164-1/8. Dang shame, I sure would have liked to have put an arrow through him.

Rattled this deer in this morning to 21 yards. Was 9:00 AM and and before getting down decided to use this green plastic contraption one of my friends left here several years ago. Pulled the two pieces apart and started clashing and twisting them together. Couldn't have been more than 10 seconds...

Looks like I'll have some decisions to make come fall.

This was taken on my other property. He's got some kind of brow tines.

Took these off video I filmed the other night. I think His antlers are fully grown, short points but has alot of character. Unfortunately, I don't have permission to hunt that property.:-(
