Archery elk hunt in Wyoming. Bull scored 365 4/8.

Took me 9 years to draw a tag, but it sure paid off. Chased after them in the early mornings and then set up on a water hole and hunted all day. On the 4th day, this guy came out around 2pm.

Is this a good set?

Just got back (to Dallas) from northern New Mexico a week ago Sunday from my elk hunt and now I'm planning my mule deer hunt to 2B. I drew the first rifle hunt tag (Oct 19th-23rd). I've never hunted this unit and have done a really poor job on planning/deciding what places to hunt in this unit...

After striking out in the WY, NM, and CO drawings, I had settled on a private land drop camp (OTC tags)in Colorado. That was until a couple days ago when I got a call saying that the ranch had been sold and there would be no hunting on the property this year. I scrambled around the last minute...

Good Luck! I'm right there with you. I drew the 1st rifle tag for 2b (Oct. 19th - 23rd). I've never hunted this unit before (and it was my 3rd choice in the draw as well.)

I wasn't totally unlucky in the NM draw this year. The wife and I didn't draw any of the elk tags we put in for, but I was able to get a rifle 2b tag for Oct. 19-23rd. So far in my research, I see that 2b is much better later in the season once the snow hits (because it drives down the big boys...
