This is my Grandparents house.
It is quite the collection. Each of my grandparents kids have some mounts there. All bucks/bulls my family has killed or picked up their sheds.
Got both mounts back yesterday. Have them on a big log for now with a full range hanging pedestal system.
Will move them to a different spot in the house soon.
Both Utah bucks 2022 on left 2023 on the right. Taxidermy done by Gage Charlesworth.
I am happy with how it turned out.
Have you guys heard the song “fishin for chickens” I like the Dave Stamey Version.
Well one day I decided to try it with my neighbors chickens. It actually worked very well. Long story short my neighbors were not very happy. But it made for some good fun!
I got thinking and was wondering how many bucks would be 180”+ if they were given the chance to mature. Depending on the area and genetics will some deer only get 165”.
What do you guys think?
Not that the sig sauer stabilizing binos are that new but I looked through them for the first time and I was really impressed. Definitely a game changer if you could afford them.
I am 16 years old and I am addicted to hunting. I hunt about everything I can and get really into it. Some of my greatest memories are from hunting with my dad and other family members when I was really little. Every year me and my family hunt a general season deer hunt every year and have been...
There aren't many units that youth can't get a GS tag every year. Not sure about you guys but I would love to have a LL. I only know a handful of people that have them.
Wanted to upgrade my range and maybe buy a few 3d targets. Any recommendations? What will last the best? Bang for buck?
Would like to get a few but trying to do it as cheap as possible.
Mostly hunting elk, mule deer, antelope, and turkeys.
Thanks
This was my first coyote. This was about 4 years ago. He was running when I shot him and he rolled. Me and my little brother (on the left) walked up to him and he jumped up and started running I hip shot my 6.5 creedmoor and killed him for good. Crazy to see how much we have grown in a few years.
Definitely get a scope cam of some sort. Make sure not a lot of recoil with the gun you are using. Maybe let them dry fire to feel the trigger as well.
Have seen a Mature buck shed Both January 15th. Seen a younger buck drop one side January 4th and still have the other side till April 10th. Seen a few bucks both sides in mid April.
I have killed deer with 6.5 Creedmoor. It works. But I would definitely use a 6.5 prc over the creed any day hunting. I have never said dang I hit that deer too hard. I would much rather the deer be dead the. Chance it on a bad hit. We are never perfect.
