    My daughter's 1st Antelope

My 12 year old daughter had the good fortune to draw her 1st pronghorn antelope tag this past fall. We had a great time looking for speedgoats, but we weren't able to get out for the opener weekend, which made for a tougher hunt, but ultimately more rewarding. Hope you enjoy!

    Big buck for a youngster

He actually only bedded down about 100 yds past the fence at the top of the hill. I knew he was bad hurt, and figured bye could sneak up there and put another one in him. Part of me also thought he might be expired, because at the time I didn't know it hadn't got through into the cavity. When we...

    Big buck for a youngster

It's a stock Ruger American Predator in 22-250, with a trigger spring upgrade. Bushnell Nitro 2.5-10 ffp, and a suppressor. In the past I had been using 60 grain Nosler Partitions, which were amazing! Unfortunately Federal discontinued them, so on this hunt we were just using 55 grain soft...

    Quietest Bow?

Currently shooting 2015 hoy Nitrum bu am noticing it seems to be getting loud. Thinking about trying out a Mathews, as they seem pretty darn quiet, dead in the hand, and smooth. What's your opinions on the quietest bow in the last 2-3 years-current? Surprised they actually don't advertise as...

Let's see your biggest ever whitetail

Some hogs on here!!!! Wow! This is my best to date. Killed him at 25 yds on the ground sport and stalk (Hope to post the video soon) Grossed right at 170" and the biggest I have seen while hunting. Never thought I'd kill one of this caliber, but I am hoping to do so again someday!

    Elk Archery Equipment Question

I agree ^ I shoot 80lbs, 595 grn arrow, and a 30.5" draw, but that's an unusually heavy setup. If you can bump up to 60-65# I would, but arrow weight and really good FOC is most important in my experience. Your pin gaps may be a little bigger, but you will love the penetration. I agree that...

Lets See your Best Elk to date

This is currently my best.... Unfortunately I would have easily topped him this year, but a millisecond before my arrow got there he dropped and whirled like a whitey, and I hit shoulder with only a few inches of penetration.... I still want to cry when I think of that bull...

    Montana Mule Deer

I agree. I guide as well, have lots of private access, and look at a lot of deer every season, and the good ol' days are just that now.... The real big ones are few and far between now.

    Montana Mule Deer

Thank you! No doubt! I love living here, except for the long drive everywhere, and the frigid cold, but there's pros and cons to every decision. I sometimes wish I lived in AZ or NM, but then I couldn't hunt elk and big bucks in my backyard, and so I soldier on! lol....

I did a rough tape at 162”. Seemed like an older deer though. The film doesn’t show it real well, but his body was pretty good sized.

Only Here For A Short Time

The only thing worse is losing a human loved one. Don't know if they'll be in heaven or not, but I hope so! The hardest part about getting a puppy is knowing how soon they'll be gone. They sure are called man's best friend for a reason. Sorry for your loss. I know the feeling.
