Try some Thor bullets. They do well in my Omega with BH209.

I could be wrong, but I believe there are only two manufacturers of sabots in the U.S. Harvester and MMP. I would imagine that one of those two are manufacturing the sabots for Berry's; with the bullet being manufactured at Barry's.

With my 59 year old eyes, the peep is a much better sight.

I use the Remington 9 1/2M, but a federal 215 is hotter. I have a VariFlame adapter system. It works well.

I would think the Barnes 250 would be enough to give adequate penetration on a deer. They shoot accurately in my rifle, but I've never punched a deer with one. If you need more penetration on elk, go to .458 bullets. You can purchase sabots from MMP.

I'm getting back into bow hunting after about a 20 year layoff. A friend of mine gave me his old (8 years) Bow Tech bow. He told me to change the rest from the one that is on, a 3 brush rest, to a drop away. What is the advantage to this change? What brands do you prefer?

I have one, but on a Thompson Omega. I did not have to change my front sight. I really like the set up as, I have QD rings, so when I hunt in states that are scope legal, I just put the scope back on.

Try Les Baer. They make a peep sight that is on a scope base. One can use QD rings and a scope in states that allow scopes, and remove the scope for "iron sights only" states.
