My 20 year old son and I drew our 3rd choice elk hunt on separate apps. Timed well so no conflict with his college classes. Should be fun. Other than turkey, this is the first time we’ve had the same hunt since we always put in separate apps to increase our draw odds. Good luck to all that drew!

JFB... congrats to your Dad. I'm stoked. I drew that same ranch. Looking at the A-plus info shows that there are 4 tags for that ranch (1 private , 3 public draw). 3850 acres is 6 square miles. If the ranch was an actual square, it would be a 2.5 mile X 2.5 mile square. Not a lot of area IMO...

Great eating. I use the breasts to make fajitas in a super hot skillet or disco. Not sure what the limit is this year, but when it was 3 per day for 2 days, I'd get a ton of breast meat from 6 birds.
