I had a TC Hunter Hawkin 1x scope and sold it dirt cheap just to get rid of it and it was actually a decent scope. I never realized a 1x scope makes things smaller than the naked eye sees. I used a peep and liked it WAY better than a 1x scope. Just my 2 cents!

FYI, Another Gov. tag buck hits the dirt.....er snow this morning (30th). Not sure if it's posted anywhere but I've seen the photos with Gypsum Creek Outfitters and Hill Guides and Outfitters logo on them. I'd rather let them post them if they choose to do so.

Is this the same buck? If so, 44.

Here he is in velvet. A friend in the area said they'd seen him this summer and had photos as well. He also said there's a similar one running around this year as well as several other really good bucks they've seen.

If you are on Rokslide, I'd highly recommend checking with "Sabotloader" as he's extremely knowledgeable with Knights and has an Ultra Lite. Not sure he shoots 209 but he's a Knight expert and I believe he has worked directly with Knight on some issues.

Thanks for the offer but I have several other bigger Whites as well. Not sure there's any 600 gr. in there. A few of the Whites I bought over the years were sold with White bullets so I have a big variety. Might have to try some of the bigger ones at the range sometime but I've kinda settled...

Barrel twist is 1 in 24 and many people shoot and recommend this size bullet for this gun.

The weird part is that the first several shots were fine, then 2 tumbled so I stopped shooting. I've read that a loose fit could cause tumbling and they all loaded similarly but relatively easy. I felt minimal resistance when pushing the ramrod but that was true for all the bullets.

I believe they have regulatory limits on when and by how much they can raise prices. That said, I agree that cutting a season in half will likely do little to the harvest. As always, it seems anything that will reduce their budget will not be a serious consideration so they seem to propose...

It's the only area in the State I know of that is a limited draw (4 GMU's) because the elk numbers are dramatically below objective.

Here's my guess, If a unit has 15 tags, they'd take the top 15 applicants, then the applicant with the lowest points becomes the baseline for which they'd take that many points from everyone plus whatever penalty points is established.

They do....sort of. It's called the hybrid draw where you can draw a top tier unit. If you have 5 pts. or more you can apply for those specific units. Must be your 1st choice.

Once a system is in place, most people (myself included) seem to like or dislike it based on the impact to them. Whereas I think the question should be asked if it's "fair" to change it. As the saying goes, Life is not fair! so if point banking changes, it's not gonna be fair to either higher...

Totally agree. Once you have a system, changing things will always effect some groups adversely while benefitting others. I'm in the lower point group now and could add several years to draw relatively low point tags if this gets approved.
