Not true at all! Summer scouting will be a big help. I lived in Central for 12 years and I know the unit very well.

That unit is kinda famous for 350+ 5x5's, and there is nothing wrong with a 350 5x5.

I've been around bird dogs and field trialing my whole life. At one point I was considered a pro according to the governing bodies. Don't tie the dog to a fence and shoot a thousand rounds over it. If the dog is crazy about birds, the problem can be fixed rather easily. I can help if you want...

I lived on the Pine Valley unit for years, and the only elk I ever found were in places I wouldn't want to shoot an elk. I wouldn't even consider hunting it, it just wouldn't be worth the time.

How old is he? Sometimes the spine closes in on the cord in older dogs and they lose control of their rear end. Often, it seems like it happens overnight. What did the vet tell you?

That's quite simple to answer. The DWR doesn't want your service hours, they want the money you will have to fork over to buy your hours, when there are no projects.

As a guy in the dog business, I can tell you this. They are hell on dogs, snake vaccine or no.

I've spent more time out there than most people. I've seen some incredible bulls, and its possible to kill one. No one is seeing 8-10, 350" bulls everyday. That's total exaggeration. Still, I would love to have the tag over any other tag in the state.
