Just watched channel 2 news and the DWR were on there talking about the closure until April 1st. they said the fine was $250!!!! FOR REAL $250??? what's your thought's??

Elkantlers, we had heard the same rumor, but found no evidence of an archery hit. DWR officer said he thought he was hit in the foot but no evidence of that either.

elkantlers, we did here the same thing about an archer thinking he hit him, but we did not see any evidence of an archery hit.

He was just shy at 39 inches, might have made to forty in the velvet!

Thanks for the replies guys! just wanted some opinions! and elks96 if ya ever draw an archery tag for LE elk, go scout all summer find some nice bulls, then let me know so I can show up with some hounds!!! Like I said I wanted some opinions on this I didn't say the archer should have more rights...

Yep! Had an uncle and a friend both with 19 also no luck for them either! But we did get a henrys rifle deer tag, looks like that's where my times gonna be spent!

It seems that hunting anymore has become a $$$ deal. this outfitter/guide/whatever, has 20+ trail cams out and about 25 guys walking all over the mountain in search big bulls for there clients/trigger pullers, God what happend to the good ole days!!!! LAST EDITED ON Aug-20-14 AT 09:51AM (MST)[p]ok I have a friend that drew a southern Utah LE archery tag, he has had a few trail cams set up since mid July and has been seeing some decent bulls, 2 days before hunt he goes to check his camera and finds another camera and a ground blind right in...

Taken 2 bulls a 348 and a 373, with my muzzy, 1 shot with 150 grains and a 250 gr hot shot, and the other my son at 14 years old and 100 gr and a 250 gr hot shot, neither bull went more than 30 yds. Dont think you can blame the muzzy!! Hope ya find the bull!!!!

I seen the video! looks like it could be a great thing for keeping your cape cool, so you dont have to worry about it getting to warm, and slippin hair when tanned. Awesome for the archery hunters for sure!

Bingo some years the muzzy hunt is the way to go! rifle hunt is to warm and the bulls are quiet. been down there for 2 1/2 weeks seen a lot of bulls but only 3-4 that were good!
