Here’s the outfit in Alpine that will pack out an elk. They primarily deal with DIY hunters who are smart enough to save their backs and knees .

As you drive into Alpine on 180/191 there’s a business just north of town that does horseback trail rides in the summer. During hunting season he provides a pack out service. Price would depend on how far off the road etc. I‘ll get his name & number next time I’m in town.

My CC got hit for $300 last week and 45B was my 2nd choice. Hoping to draw my 1st choice though.

Checked Thursday morning and had a $300 CC hit (am a AZ resident). maybe they have done the sheep draw, I’m not in the bonus pass draw.

There was enough moisture in Alpine AZ for this big guy to show up this week.

Charged this morning for U-27 deer, but looks like another sheep point.

I was primarily looking into their Saskatchewan moose hunt. I talked to one of their reps at Dallas SCI and he was very personable. I did not hunt with them for a variety of reason, mainly because the moose hunt was not in a location I desired to hunt.

AZ4lfe, what website is this chart from? I want to check the Alpine area, had over 5 inches in my yard in the last week.

Bull, that’s a great buck and sure looks bigger that mid 180’s. Have you heard anything on the early rifle hunts in 12AW and 12BW. Would like to do late hunt but don’t have the points and not willing to wait. I will definitely call Duwane.

Last year it took 9 pts for a resident to be 100% and with 8 pts you had 47% chance of drawing 12AW for early rifle hunt. Also, note that last year the tags numbers went from 500 to 450.

Yes will definitely call Duane first for guiding on the Kaibab. I’ve followed him for years. Same with D Martin.

As a resident with 8 points, I’m looking into applying for a 1st Rifle hunt in 12AW or 12BW. The 450 tags in 12AW concerns me but what is the potential in 12BW in the early hunt? And yes I expect to go guided since it will be my only Kaibab deer hunt and then it’s back to Coues.

I used Trails West in ?16 for Antelope and in ?17 for a Muley. They did an excellent job and I would definitely recommend them. I think the original owner took the business back from the deadbeats he sold it to. He has some good folks working for him in the processing side of his shop.

Shopping for a pair of Muck boots for a ?19 moose hunt. How is their sizing, should they fit a little loose or have a tight fit like lace up 8-9 inch boots?

Anyone ever hunt moose with Buckbrush Outfitters, they have hunts in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Not looking for a monster moose, just a good enjoyable hunt. Also plan to drive from the US so I can bring the meat home.

TOPGUN: That sounds like an epic fall hunting adventure especially with the hard to draw moose tag. Who was the outfitter near Afton? I'm a non-res with a ton of preference points I plan to use next year.

The WY Game&Fish commission met last Thur and Fri to set the 2016 seasons and tag quotas. When will the results of their decisions be posted?

Have not decided on anybody yet. Talked to someone about 120 and another in unit 90. Both well respected and dependable. Would still like to talk with someone that guides in 87 or 89. Received some great tips from folks on MM.

I'm not looking for a particular # of inches, but would like something over 160. Talked with someone that knows the 119/120 units and he thinks 190 unit should be avoided and 120 might be good this year.
