I used to hunt 41 and had great success 15 to 20 years ago. Now it is terrible. Whatever it is two point hunting, hard winters, or poaching they need to stop hunting the unit for awhile.

daughter got bull elk on 52 and bear on 22. Wish I was a little younger. Wife got cow tag on 45. I got extra wt doe on 15 and a late muzzleloader TAG ON DEER. Son and grandson zip.

I called the Fish and Game today. They are hoping for Wednesday the 14th.

Went out on the 21st with grandson for a doe on 45. A lot of does had bucks with them however, I did see more does without bucks.

That has been my experience also.

Most of 52 depends on the weather. You might not see anything until Oct 24th.

I just figured out telling you to look west of the summit. That is 45, sorry, the muzzleloader includes 52 and 45. My mistake.

I have hunted that unit several times with the muzzleloader in Sept. I have seen them off the Gooding Fairfield hwy near the top of the summit to the west. Look for some way in thru the private land (it is there). Also 90% are on the preserve out of Picabo.

My 15 year old grandson called last night and told me he got a super tag in the mail for antelope. I bought him 4 chances the last week of May. He is on cloud nine, however he is not as lucky as I am. I get to take him. What a wonderful gift for me.
