Many years ago, I stepped out of my truck to photograph a nice buck. He actually came toward me, with ears lowered. About that moment, another buck that was behind me that I was not aware of blew past me, right past my shoulder to get away! I didn't realize I was in the middle! :eek: ;)

Right beam: 3 point/Center beam: 6 point (growing out back of his head)/Left beam: 6 point

I found one like this once...miles from any road. Just the deadhead and shed antler. Never did find rest of his bones.

NV Area 231 bulls (August 1)

This is my forever "Character" buck- "Pete's Half-a-buck". I had missed several opportunities to fill my tag and was last member on a large family hunt w/o a buck. Everyone was going fishing- right out of camp I jumped what I thought was a 3x3. Didn't get a clear shot, but I tracked the deer...

I found something similar to NPHunter's I thought I'd share. One of my favorite "finds". I spent hundreds of yards and hours of "boots on the ground" to no avail trying to find the match. 5 normal antler points, and a profusion of 7+ gnarly brow tine!

Someone said the deer has cactus burrs from a Cholla cactus on him.

Not nearly the biggest or best I've ever seen, but the encounter was my favorite all time. I had noticed antler movement, and I was trying to sneak on what I thought was a huge muley buck! Early morn, and right at sun-up- and this was the only shot I got. (NV Area 231)

Not very clear- pre-sunup. But I thought pretty good growth by last week of June (NV Area 231 bulls).

Great "first buck"! Congrats- family hunts are so memorable- I'm 76 yrs. old, and I remember my first buck and details of the hunt so vividly, it's as though it happened yesterday! ;)

Not the same and no pics- but I once found a brown muley shed next to a whitey one. A buck must have been checking out an old shed when one of his dropped!

This not exactly the same... but years ago when I was a Ranger. I got a report of a deer that had apparently fallen on ice and could not get up. A small three point buck, pretty wasted away body-wise, all skin and bone. I dispatched him. This was in January, and season had ended in November...

Yeah...and prior to the license purchase, you'll have to pass a class and get a certificate on line. Then your legislators will have to pass legislation addressing fines for violators (after first hearing recommendations from your wildlife division). So it will be awhile before all this takes place.

Fair populations in Nevada in certain areas- a lot in domestic locations like this!:eek:;)
