Oh I never ate good food in Marines either. I'm 25 years of being out and eating good food. Now at 50 years old it takes 4 months of working out to lose a few dang pounds. 😑
I'm hitting pretty good out to 150 yards with Two white-hot pellets and 225 grain Barns TMZ.
Gonna go shoot again this week before heading out on Friday .
Hello all, I'm getting pumped for my Muzzle hunt. Any Jan bow stories or harvest pics? Road conditions for a camper , Any updates are much appreciated.
Being open sight I was just looking for the flattest round /Powder combo after I read a bunch of Negative reviews on those Powerbelt platinums. They seem to just blast threw without any expansion and very little blood lose. The last thing I wanna be doing up on the rock is tracking a wounded...
Yes Blackhorn 209, I told him about 120 max and was afraid I was gonna blow the gun up. He says he been shooting that combo for 10 years. I have the 270 grain platinum also. Guess I'll ditch those. Also bought to try out the Hornady sst 250 grain. I better get out there and try 250 grain...
Calling all muzzle guru's, I borrowed a CVA accura from a buddy for my Ibex hunt and he shoots 338 platinums with 150 grain of Bighorn powder for elk.. It's shoots great at 100 yards open sight. I bought some 270 grain bullets to try and get a flatter and faster trajectory. With the wind...
Binoculars still available? Not sure if I had texted you or someone else on these binos. For some reasons I can't find your contact info.

Terrible experience with the Barnes 300 RUM . Had about 6 miss fires out of 1 box. Possibly primer issues. The Scricco flew great out my Remington 700 but just like you, cannot find ammo for it.
Take lots of food and beer and just go camping. Hate to say it but there are only about 3 elk on mount Taylor. It's a shame how that unit went to hell in a hand basket. Hope u can turn up a bull but your chances are very slim.
Screw that crap , I'm taking food, water and a sleeping bag and I'm gonna sit in one pocket for 7 days. One of the other 14 hunters that are crazy enough to walk up and down that rock pile is bound to push 1 my way. ?
The tannery does not give a crap if the customer paid the taxidermist 100 percent down. It is the responsibility of the taxidermist to pay the tanning bill with the deposit given at drop off. Taxidermist does not pay the tanning bill then the tannery sells the capes or probably uses them to...
If anyone is heading down to the Florida's, please give updates on the roads. I've never been there I'd like to know if I can get a camper trailer near the base and if there are designated camping spots available. Thanks for any info.
