Who?s ready to get after it? I know I am. 2019 HAC is up and I'm excited for what this season has in store.
Decided to try out posting up my (HAC) hunt adventures this year and hopefully I can keep up with it. This year I applied for Utah OIL moose (18 points) and LE rifle deer (10 points)...

The archery season starts in a couple days here in Utah and I can't wait to get out and start chasing again. Here's a few bucks I was able to get on video while out scouting. Hope you enjoy! I think there will be some bruisers taken this year, and good luck to all you stick flippers this weekend!

Was out shed hunting and came across this hanging on a little tree limb. What do you all make of it. While walking along I looked up and saw a bigger piece of red cloth hanging in a tree and then I saw this hanging there. It looks like some sort of Indian artifact, but don't know what it...

I currently have a few Bushnell 8MP cameras and am looking to upgrade this year and I want to go with a camera that will send me pictures to my phone so I don't have to go up as often to check cards and...
Looking at putting a Vortex PST 6-24x50 on my 7mm mag. and was wondering if there are any states that don't allow them?
Is there an issue for Utah or Colorado, or Wyoming, or Idaho? Do you know if lighted reticles are allowed in these states?
Thanks for any feedback.
With concealment and camouflage an important aspect of archery hunting, how many of you archery hunters use ways to cover up your fletchings on your arrows? I know there are a few products out there that will cover them up while hunting and was just curious if that matters to any of you out...
Was out on the front on Saturday morning and found someone's release on the trail they had dropped on my way back to the truck. I'm sure you would like it back. If you lost your release on Saturday on the front and can describe it and where you might have lost it I can get it back to its...
Just throwing this out to see how many arrows everyone carries in their quiver while bowhunting? Although I try to make a one shot kill I keep extras in my quiver at all times just in case. Currently my setup lets me have 6 arrows. How many do you carry in your quiver/on your person?
LAST EDITED ON Sep-02-14 AT 04:11PM (MST)[p]Caught both these guys on my trail camera in a new area I've always wanted to get in to. What do you think of the bases on both of them? The 3x4 has a little kicker on his left side near the base and the split beam buck has a nice sword coming off his...
LAST EDITED ON Aug-05-14 AT 02:50PM (MST)[p]Wondering if you think this is the same buck? These pics were taken years apart. I believe they look really similar. The one looks a little wider than the other by a couple inches. Looking really closely at each point I see similarities other than...
I noticed this year in the proclamation that you cannot take an any bull within the extended area until Sept. 13th to Nov. 30th. From Aug 16th until Sept. 13th you can only take a spike if I am reading it correctly. This has changed from years prior. It looks like if you are hunting the extended...

Been up on the front doing a little scouting this summer and came across this tree stand a couple weeks ago. Can anyone claim it? Just curious who else is hunting the same area. This person had a trail camera up last year under the tree stand and I didn't see it up this year. Just curious is all.
Well, being the second time hunting in Colorado I can say I will be back again and again. Colorado IMO has done right with their mule deer management. I have managed to hunt two great units the past 3 years and have seen a lot of great looking mule deer country and seen lots of good bucks that...

Just curious as to what you all think these two WF bucks would score? Width? This footage is from pre-season in July. I had both of them while filming at 35 yards a couple times that summer. Which one would you take if you had both of them on opening morning...
I am from out of state and have a 3rd season deer tag for 40. Looking for any last minute information anyone willing to share about the unit. I have talked to a biologist and some other hunters who have hunted the area last year. Looking for any additional information that anyone can share...
There was a 10 year old boy walking down the sidewalk dragging a flattened frog on a string behind him. He walked up to a house of ill repute and knocked on the door. When the Madam answered it, she saw the little boy and asked what he wanted. He said, 'I want to have sex with one of the women...
The wife and I were at home watching TV.
I had the remote and was switching back and forth between a fishing channel and the porn channel.
She became more and more annoyed and finally said:
"For God's sake! Leave it on the porn channel!
You already know how to fish!"
Has anybody hunted Escalante Ranch for deer? It is in unit 62 on Uncompahgre Plateau and I am wondering if anyone has hunted there. I am from Utah and am considering Unit 62 and want to knwo some info on the unit and the Escalante Ranch. I knwo the ranch has some BLM and National Forest land...
Well it finally happened and I am way excited to get out and start scouting the spots I have hunted in years past on this unit and places I have been researching on google. I know many of you are sometimes not willing to help out with info, but I have have a few spots that I know will hold some...

Just wondering if anyone has used a Barrel De-Resonator on their rifles and if they really do what they say? If so, do you lioke them? Are they worth the cost? How much of a difference do they really make if any? I am considering putting one on my rifle to help in recoil.
Thanks for any input! :-)

I have a friend who's dad has a cow buffalo permit down on the henrie's that starts this saturday and was wondering if there is a pack out service that he could use if needed to get the meat out when he gets...
So, I went up hunting yesterday in the wasatch extended area with some friends to help them fill their deer tags and while out, I ran into a dead elk that looked to have been shot a few weeks ago around the opener and never recovered. It had a definite entry wound from an arrow and had fallen up...

So on the mornings I hunt near home within driving distance to my area (25-50 miles), I get up and take a shower with scent killer soap/shampoo/bodywash...put on unscented deoderant, throw all my hunting stuff in my truck and go.
How do you all manage your odor while driving? Do you think...
All my animals that I have taken with a bow have been total pass throughs and have recovered the animal at most 80 yards or less.
Do you think a non pass through could cause more damage in some cases? Lets hear stories, see pics of blood trails of pass through or non-pass throughs or just...
Was a good opener to the Archery season. This trip we saw alot of animals. After 2 hard days of hunting, spotting, glassing and many miles on the leather, I was able to connect on a beautiful 6x6 with matching 1 1/2" cheaters on either side and some great fronts and awesome mass. Saw this...
