    What is this cartridge?

Looking into it and I believe you're right. No idea why they'd be where I'm finding them though. Must be for war type training

    Muzzleloader Draw Odds

Last years draw odds for elk are meaningless. So many people jumped to muzzy due to the early rifle hunt going to a 5 day hunt, you'd have to look back 2-4 years to get semi accurate data

    Idaho Elk Calf Issues....................

Nothing new... When you put the predators on a protected list and require licenses to kill them as game animals your predation goes up. Does anyone really question what the predators eat.

    Poaching

Utah is definitely the most lenient on poaching. Until there are more severe punishment it'll only get worse. Merely a slap on the wrist for those actually caught and prosecuted.

    Elk wounding question

Maybe a hit to far back, liver hit. My brother and I shot a buck years ago when Utahs muzzy hunt ran into November. He was hit in the liver, 8" of snow was the only reason we were able to track him 1.5 - 2 miles. He was still alive 14 hrs later when found, just to weak to move at that point

How about a bounty on lions?

Houndsman won't participate. They hate the open season as it is. Their sport is the chase, you can't chase if you're killing them each time you tree one.

    Cell Provider Coverage?

Yep same here.. Verizon cell coverage saved my life in 2007 above Daniel's Summitt. However, this year Verizon service seems like the lowest tier coverage available. AT&T, Consumer Cellular, and T-Mobile all had full service phone and internet where Verizon had ZERO. Been a loyal customer for 20...

    Aspens Dying

Anybody else notice the aspens dying around strawberry resevoir? As I've drove past strawberry the last few months I've noticed aspen stands dying all the way to current creek turn off. Any ideas of what's causing it? Many stands are completely dead with only intermixed scrub brush living.

How to get away from roads when there are roads EVERYWHERE?!

Hunt where you see the animals. Big bucks are killed off roads every year. There's no golden rule you have to be x miles off a road to hunt

    O.I.L Moose Advise Needed

Alright, I need some advice. Drew the random moose tag for South Slope, Diamond Mountain/Vernal. Being OIL its not like you plan it out years prior, the truth is you may never draw a tag. So I'm left with 3 months to make it count. After looking at success rates and average days in the field...

    The wyoming whipping boy

I don't have a dog in the fight, rarely visit beautiful Wyoming. Are all the new laws going to hurt Wyoming's economy? Seems all those non-residents spend a little bit of money in the state, maybe the $$ in sheds they leave with creates a deficit that other wise might stay in the state

    Shed Season thoughts and questions

The shed season and lack of people following the rules is very thought provoking. With the amount of illegal pick ups it makes you wonder how many animals are truly poached with the same mind set. You're able to see antler laying there until picked up yet assume the big bucks and bulls moved...
