    Aspens Dying

Anybody else notice the aspens dying around strawberry resevoir? As I've drove past strawberry the last few months I've noticed aspen stands dying all the way to current creek turn off. Any ideas of what's causing it? Many stands are completely dead with only intermixed scrub brush living.

    O.I.L Moose Advise Needed

Alright, I need some advice. Drew the random moose tag for South Slope, Diamond Mountain/Vernal. Being OIL its not like you plan it out years prior, the truth is you may never draw a tag. So I'm left with 3 months to make it count. After looking at success rates and average days in the field...

    Roads. From private into public

Whats everyone's thoughts on roads coming off private property onto public land that the public can't gain access to? One place in particular that makes me frustrated is a road that was closed in the early 90's at the top. Private property guys continuing to ride it from the private at the...

    Lets see those Trail fixes

Lets see those trail fixes. Ive had my share through the years from truck to tripod repairs. You gotta do what you have to. Nothing like depending on yourself to make it all work. Thankfully I had some 14 gauge tie wire while trapping and a ratchet strap. 17 miles to the truck didn't seem like a...

Anybody using snares to target coyotes? Any advice, good learning resources to look into? The coyotes are educated and won't come to calls in this specific area. Snares and traps seem to be the only alternative.

While walking a canyon with a few buddies during Utahs muzzleloader hunt we found a wounded buck at first light. Still alive and beded, his hind leg broken just below the joint. My friend shot and tagged the deer. After getting him to camp and beginning to skin it was obvious the wound was a...

    Ammo shortage = Silence

Anybody else noticed how quite the hills are? Maybe the ammo shortage and price has some positives to it. Usually you go out and hear thousands of rounds being shot, not so much now days. I've got to say it's a nice change.

    Tomorrow, it's CRITICAL..

I don't understand Utah's stance on shed hunting. If your out and about February 1 looking for antler you need take the course. It goes on and on about winter stress and mortality rates. Go figure it's okay and perfectly legal to chase elk and deer with high caliber rifles January 31st, yet...
