It was so fun to watch Will on his first deer hunt. Will went from not being able to find deer in the scope, having a hard time setting up on a steep slope and fight sun glare to grabbing the gun setting up by himself and taking a shot. I was so proud of him watching his steep learning curve...

We are still spoiled!

Not sure who is more spoiled my sons or me. So happy my boys are willing to go! I hope I didn’t push them too hard this year, the draw gods were good to us. We still have a couple tags, freezer is full and out of vacation days?……hopefully we can make it out a few more weekends.

Such an amazing week! It is so cool to be able to tell your kid how proud you are of them when they accomplish so many TOUGH task in one week! I LOVE watching my boys! Oh and our new favorite camp food is pumpkin pie, ready to eat after a long hike.

My son, JR finally connected on a very cool first buck! He hunted through many ups and downs. He made a great quartering away shot from 125 yards that dropped him in his tracks! I thank the Mule Deer gods for the buck stopping and looking back at us. I am so proud of JR!!

My son JR with his first big game animal…..a six point bull elk! I’m so proud of him he learned a lot on the mountain Sunday! Never give up!….we had to track this bull 1.25 miles. We can do hard things!….Elk are big animals and the pack out was tough this bull made it into a step canyon...

Maybe a long shot but I found a camera while scouting the Henry’s this week. I would like to return to the owner if possible. If anyone knows someone missing a camera lmk!

I was able to hunt with some great friends this week 15 year old Rivs was able to take her second bull not her best bull. She is tough! Better get up there!!!

I call it the trifecta. Yesterday I found 4 deer, 3 elk, 2 moose. Nothing big but it was fun! Better get up there!!!

I am not usually one to stir the $hit but I heard something from a Utah DWR employee that bothered me. I was told the 100 does from A.I. are going to the Fillmore Oak Creek unit. Where the Director of the DWR owns private property. Can anyone else confirm or dismiss this...
