    Arizona Giants Hitting The Dirt

Congrats! Figure that you proll have, but I would recommend that you line up an outfitter ASAP. They can fill up fast. I drew a nice NV Muzzy tag and it was a blast. I tried it self guided and ended up hunting the same country as the Dream Tag holder. He had an interesting experience and it...

    CC hits…let’s hear em

Well, I ended up putting in for a tag that I had a reasonable chance of drawing this year and drew a 22 South Muzzleloader tag with 20 NR points. I’ll go guided because getting an elk out of that country by myself isn’t really doable. I’m in my mid 60s and have been burning points over the past...

    2021 Hunt Recaps

It was a pretty easy decision to burn my 19 points this year. Decent winters, late dates and I found an outfitter that I was very comfortable with. I wanted a 3rd season hunt and my points made units 53,54,55 and 67 possibilities. I decided to go for 55 and drew it with a couple of points to...

CO - Credit Cards: Any hits yet?

I drew 55 3rd with 19 points. I was willing to overspend a little because I want to hunt this year and then start hunting more regularly with less points. It will be interesting to see the point creep data when it becomes available. Good luck to all!

Anyone change or add an application?

I decided to start burning my built up points a couple of years ago. The Colorado season date change didn’t really motivate me as I had been planning to use my 19 points this year anyway. We’ll see if the higher point holders are willing to use theirs in 55; what will be will be. I used the same...

2021 NR Deer App Unit Choices

Hey Buckhorn, What are the new developments? I posted the CO website policy on changing application choices which seems to indicate that choices can’t be changed after the deadline. Did I miss something else? I’m happy to try to delete this thread if Application choices can still be modified.

    231 mule deer

Truly a shame. It's the only deer that I've hit in 40 something years of driving in whitetail country. Ran right into the drivers side front fender while I was moving along at 65 mph causing airbag deployment and 10K damage to the vehicle. Met some really nice people during the aftermath and...

    Wyoming Draw Results are Up!!!

A buddy and I spent 6 average points and drew G so we'll join the thousands strong bunch that will hunt that beautiful country this fall. 194-196 late archery deer

I believe that this hunt has become way more weather dependent than it used to be with the large amount of rut rifle hunters chasing the bucks for several weeks just before this bow hunt. Last year the archers got some good weather and bucks arrived that hadn't been killed or spooked by the...

    Mount Grafton wilderness area

I'd be tempted to try the spike camp because I like to save on sleep and hiking. Most people don't do it because they like to stay more mobile with their glassing.

    Boulder Early

The vast majority of hunters will never draw such a tag and it's probably your best opportunity to ever hunt for a really big bull. I'd recommend using an outfitter and discussing your preferences with him. You can still scout and include your family in the hunt.
