Depends. If you got a longer time horizon why not keep building. Things change, rather have them and not need them vs the opposite. I’d rather gamble on a change for the better vs gambling on turning up a gem in the current landscape.

Reminder… Winter kill. Later season dates about 3 years ago. CWD units overload the buck tags. Excellent hunting conditions in 2nd/3rd season last fall. Are they really getting “primo tags”? I thought we all agreed the quality deer hunting was over in Colorado.

We’ll see in 2040-2045 what happens. That’s when the bubble of NR specie point holders hit the 30 point mark after the 2009 change. I doubt it will be all that exciting chasing 300” bulls on a OIL tag with the continued age class reduction.

Overall 189 NR bull tags awarded in random vs 134 NR bull tags to highest point holders….sick of single digit point holders getting tags over 20 plus guys. utah needs to give a higher percentage to the highest point holders.

Any predictions how many tags get turned in? I say 2,500??

By memory, but after 2007 winter they didn’t cut tags correct? Deer numbers were higher and B/D ratios were excellent. Either they learned something or the extreme weather forced their hand being the shape of the herd going into this winter.

I watched the commissions vote and looking for details on the second/third season being reduced to 5 days. I didn’t think it was changed??
