Check out Hog Back Ridge Adventures. Seems to me that they are just what you are looking for. They have drop camps set up and high elk numbers in a great area. Lots of private ground in units 22 and 32. With option to be guided, can help retrieve animals too.

On a spike or 2 point it is probably close to 1 in 4... if you are very patient and skilled. On a mature buck, it is much more difficult. I've had dozens of stalks blown by one thing or another, no matter how much effort and patience I've put into it. I haven't stuck a mature buck with an...
I recently built an AR-15 specifically for a coyote gun. I had mine chambered in .223 Wylde with a 1:8 twist, 18 inch barrel. I chose that caliber because I have a ton of .223 brass and I am reloading for it. You can load .223 Wylde a little hotter than .223 Rem, but still use standard AR-15...
I had the great opportunity to hunt 3rd season deer this year on private land in Colorado. It was an awesome hunt, we saw and passed up a bunch of deer that weren't quite big enough. We had scouted a giant buck in this area, and knew he was close by. We watched a small herd of does feed back...
There is a similar product out there that is a way better design in my opinion, made by poison arrow gear. It wraps around an arrow in your quiver, then takes about 5 seconds to deploy. The graphics look about like a Montana decoy. I used one last year and I thought it worked pretty well.
My grandpa finally drew out after many years of putting in. He's in his seventies, in good shape, but just doesn't have a lot of hunting years left in him. I'm looking for some advice on where to go for elk during the late hunt. I've been out to the Books plenty of times, just never been in...
Absolutely big enough. I've killed two bull elk with 139 gr hornady 7mm, my dad and brother have killed several with that same round also. There's no better round for elk in my opinion, very flat shooting and plenty of lead.
This is really not what I was hoping for, but after 5 years of trying with a bow, and many blown stalks and missed opportunities, I lowered my standards.
It's roughly $100-$150 here in Utah. Not near the hoops to jump through. I've heard that Illinois is one of the worst. I carry all the time, usually a full-size. I don't care for the sub-compacts and compacts either.
I'm interested in knowing what I would expect to pay for a black bear rug. I understand they are priced per linear foot, but how exactly is that measured? Is that like a standing height of the bear, or finished product head to tail? Head to foot? I admittedly don't know much on the subject...
I've never shot up signs before in my life, but..... it's definitely tempting. PETA is not welcome in the Basin, unless it's the People for the Eating of Tasty Animals.

We also went in from Sego, that's not too far from where I killed mine.
>thats sweet dude. congrats. what did
>your bull score anyways??
Thanks, it measured out at 353.
I read your other post, but I'm curious if you went in the North or South? Sounds like you had an unforgettable trip! I know mine was.
Thanks for the story, I especially enjoyed it seeing all the similarities to my hunt. I had the same tag in '09 and had multiple bear encounters, missed opportunities and tough breaks. The bears never got my tent, but did eat all of our food and also ate most of my bull before we found it. I...
Congrats on a nice bull! I know from experience how hard it is to kill a good bull like that in the Uintahs, especially with a bow. I like how you told the story with your pics, that worked out better than a few paragraphs of info, in my opinion. Thanks for sharing
Another part of that that should be a red flag to anyone who thinks that gun bans are for our protection:
The purpose of creating such a list was to assure people that the government was not going after any legitimate hunting or sporting weapons. "The other purpose of the list was to have a...
As a former machinist, I'd say keep the heli-coil. Will hold up better than the original tapped hole. Having them retapped to 8-40 would be just as acceptable, but will cost you more to get done

If you haven't read this yet, please do. You WILL NOT regret it, I promise. Very well written and near impossible for any sensible person to argue with.

Still blatant hypocrisy. They all profit from the very firearms that they condemn. They aren't crying out to stop crazies from killing kids...

"...why can we own assult weapons?"
"I didn't say we could or couldn't own assult weapons"
And just the fact that you are still referring to them as assault weapons in this thread, about this blog, shows you didn't actually read the blog.
You all need to check out this link:

It has all those stats and a whole lot of logic to back them up. Written to support the arguments you have with people.
