My wife and I will be in a blue crew cab Tundra and my buddy in a white Jeep cherokee. Probably camped off the 33 mile road north of town. If you see us stop and we can chat. We will have camp setup by Sunday afternoon. I will serve frozen beer slushys and pepperoni popsicles.

Looks like snow Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday! Zero degrees too! That might get some bucks moving. At least with snow on the ground the glassing will be easier. Everyone be safe and enjoy the hunt.

Go to the county assessors web site, use their on-line mapping tool or GIS system. In the county I am hunting this fall they tell you if the road a private access road. It might run through BLM and State land but if it was built to access private land, it’s a private road. No access. also the...

Not successful, 10 point average applied for unit 120, oh well, we have 12 points for deer so we will hunt 34 for bucks instead. Maybe after being there we will keep applying for 120 or change our minds.

My wife, myself and one buddy applied for 34. We are NR with 12 points each. After researching we decided on less hassle, more public land, and more diversity of terrain would be better and more enjoyable. I believe with good glassing and research the bucks are the same quality. Looking forward...

Many thanks for the replies and information! When I was moose hunting area 34 in 2013 I saw a few nice bull elk, that area was a little too thick in most areas, hard hunting that timber when doing it as a pair. Any opinions on 39, 40 or 41? Are they all in the same boat as 45?
