I have hunted them a few times myself. One of my best buddies is a wolf killing machine. He has killed 3 and I was with him for one of them. We tracked the pack in the timber for about 2 hours and finally he was able to get a shot of and get 1. It was a extremely fun hunt!

Just to add a little to what Horse Creek already said about the elk population in that area... Last year I killed a cow in the evening within 300 yards of where the pack was that morning. We killed wolves in the morning and elk in the evening! It was an epic day to say the least!!!

We took 2 out of that pack last year! Plan on trying to thin them out again this year.

I have him at 177". He is a very cool buck, and that left eyegaurd just may carry an extra inch or 2 when he is hard horned! Very cool buck to have that small of an inside spread credit but still be very close to a clean 180" 4x4!

Nice bucks... Bottom buck 178" Top buck much less. Great set of bucks for this discussion. I would shoot the bottom buck every time if having to pick between the 2. Some maybe even most other people would shoot the wide buck.
