    Backfire Milk Jug Challenge

I'm surprised this has not come up, but I think it's a pretty fun and informative youtube watch. The moderator of the Backfire youtube channel Jim Harmer, has put out a challenge for guys to hit milk jugs with hunting rifles in hunting conditions. ie wind, finding their own range, etc. The...

Time stamp of post's messed up

This question might be for Founder. Is it just my computer, or are all post time stamps off by a long way on this site? It seems like they used to be correct but now they are way off for me.

    Kid Stock for Ruger 10/22

I have some very young grandkids who love to shoot my Ruger 10/22, but the stock is too long for them to get behind. Some are as young as 6 years old, so it needs to be short and light. I've looked online for short stocks but I'm not seeing great options. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Prayers for Zeke

Many of you would want to know that our friend Zeke lost his wife last night. LaNae was an amazing woman and independent to a fault. She suffered a stroke while alone at their cabin last weekend which eventually took her life. Zeke has already endured the tragic death of his only son Zac and...

    Optimum Trigger Pull Weight

I own a 1970's Ruger M77 220 Swift with a terrible trigger. Getting that trigger to break was like trying to pull a fat lady out of a bath tub! It had to be over 4lbs. So I had Zeke install a "drop in" Timney (it was apparently way more work than just dropping in and now I owe him big time)...

    What muzzy for Utah?

Given the buzz about muzzy scopes in Utah, what brand/model muzzleloader would you buy? Some new models seem more like modified rifles, so are there thoughts that they will eventually be banned as well? I don't want to buy something that I can't use in a few years. Thoughts?

    Favorite Back to Civilization Meal

Ten years ago my son and I did an 8 day backpack fishing trip over the top of Wyoming's Windrivers. We ate fish and Mountain House for most of our meals, and we didn't see another soul, which was incredible. On our way back out (25 miles) we planned to get back over the top and camp, then hike...

% of Hunt Success on LE Hunts

Since its Application season, here's a "Reality Thread" for optimist's looking through Rose colored glasses. Overall, what percent of success have you had on LE Big Game hunts? I know hunt "Success" is relative but lets define it as coming home somewhat satisfied with the animal you harvested...

How many hunting rifles do you own?

Here's a bored post: Over the years I've accumulated more rifles than I need for sure but when I was single a married friend told me to buy all the rifles I ever wanted before I got married. Matching swords?

For all you die hard elk hunters, is it kinda rare for a bull to have big matching 4ths? It seems most all pictures I look at have one side that is smaller than the other. I love big long tops so I'm curious what you all think.

    Choosing a Sheep Rifle

This weekend my son and I went to the range with my three best shooting rifles (all put together by Zeke) to decide which one he takes on his Wyoming Rocky hunt. They include a 28 Nosler, a 6.5x284, and a 6.5 Creedmoor. Since I have become so fond of Hammer bullets, all are loaded with Hammer...

    Repeating Perfection

Nine years ago, my son Spence and I drew Wyoming antelope tags in a great unit. As it turned out, I missed a great buck in the Wyoming wind and then misjudged a buck and shot a smaller one. OOPs. However, the next day Spence redeemed us and killed a monster 85" toad. We had a fantastic time...

I don't know any Bad MM guys/gals, because I don't know most MMers well enough to judge you bad. There are plenty on this site who have opinions far from my own (which is OK by me) and some who seem to flat out enjoy antagonizing and arguing. I try not to pay too much attention to them...

    Mute Turkeys

So is anyone getting Utah turkeys to talk right now? We went out for two days mid week to avoid pressure. We went hard all day--early and late (southern unit) trying to strike up a gobble and we didn't get a single response. Are we that bad, or is everyone having a struggle?
