    27 OTC January Mule/Coues Deer

Anyone have any experience hunting this tag? I'm planning on heading there in a couple weeks. Where can I expect to find bucks? Higher elevation? Lower elevation? Should I plan on packing in a few miles? Or would I have just as much luck hunting near roads? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    67 Archery Deer

My brother and I drew these tags this year. We just took our first scouting trip and went up the Eddiesville Trail and came out on the Stewart Creek trail. With limited time we were only able to stay on the trails and of course we saw about 40 tree huggers hiking on the trails. We were only able...

    Southern UT elk packouts

    >Those prices are more than fair, >do you know for anyone >closer to the Wasatch unit >that does this kind of >thing ? > > I don't. There is someone in Spanish Fork who rents out llamas, but I don't think they do pack-out services.

    Nevada late hunt 171-173

I've got pack llamas for rent. In my opinion, they're much better than horses... especially if you are going solo. They're really easy to take care of. Feel free to give me a call/text or check out our website. Jason - 435-256-7882 [email protected] Ps: I'm located in Mesquite.

    Best Road Kill Buck

I killed this buck last year and he died about 1 yard from the road... does that count? The only difference is I hit him with my muzzleloader instead of my truck haha

    New point rules???

Yes, you can put in for LE deer, general deer, and dedicated hunter all in the same year... But you can only draw one of them (you might be able to draw LE deer and dedicated hunter in the same year, but I'm not positive about that). As far as I know, they do the LE drawing first, then they do...
  21. H

    New point rules???

Ya, your LE deer won't be affected... but you will loose all General deer points if you draw a General deer tag, regardless of the choice number.

    2017 Quota Recommendations?

When do the quota recommendations typically come out? I'm interested to see if tag numbers are likely to be cut or increased in some of the units I hunt... any ideas?

    Best Outfitter

Travis Leavitt with Deep Creek Outfitters. Awesome dude that works harder than anyone else I know... not to mention he's helped kill some monsters the last few years. Their website is www.DeepCreekGuides.com

    Greg Krogh and mogollanrimoutfitters.com

Greg seems like a good dude and he kills monsters every year... If you're looking at other options, I work with Deep Creek Outfitters and we've done really well the last few years. We work very hard all summer to find the biggest bucks in the unit. Here's a couple we've killed in the past year...

LE Late Season Muzzleloader deer - Pine Valley

Well, it was a tough hunt this year. I hunted hard for 7 straight days with very little rutting activity. Up until we found this buck, we hadn't seen a buck over 170". My goal was 200" and I think I did alright ;) I couldn't be happier with this buck. He's got everything you could ask for!

LE Late Season Muzzleloader deer - Pine Valley

Hmmm. The reason I ask is because I could have a friend carry an extra gun just in case... either way, I probably won't do it, I was just wondering.

LE Late Season Muzzleloader deer - Pine Valley

I've seen a handful of 200"+ bucks... most of them were in Nevada tho. I help guide (occasionally) and this year we killed a 233" on the archery and a 201" on the muzzleloader... I saw another buck that I figure was 230"-240"... but 250" sounds too good to be true ha.. but I've seen a lot of...

LE Late Season Muzzleloader deer - Pine Valley

I drew that tag this year and was curious what you guys think are some good areas to hunt. I spent a lot of time in the unit last year during November-January and found some good bucks, but nothing over 200". I spent most of my time near Veyo and New Castle. I'm hoping to find a monster on this...

I've finally found some time to post up some more pictures and stories... I've been very busy the last few weeks with a lot of hunts going on. Tooth Aging?

    >lets see a pic of the >buck!! Here's a picture for you ;) I personally think he is in the 7-9yr old range... but who knows. He had a few of his molars missing, and the molars he still had were either chipped or worn down pretty good.

    Pack Llama Hunting Adventures

A couple weeks ago my dad and I headed into the Wyoming backcountry to hunt mule deer with my bow. We went on one scouting trip during June and saw a handful of good bucks.
