The hides and skulls from our May 2021 trip showed up last week. In retrospect I wish we had shoulder mounted my wife’s kudu. I guess we’ll have to go back and try again.

Let me know if I’m doing this right. So far I’ve drawn 4 tags this year. The first has about 13.5% chance. The second was about 17% chance. The third was about 35% chance. And the fourth was a 1% chance. Does that mean the odds of drawing all four on the same year was .008%?

It’s true. Some people are poutin and pissy all year long. Even when they do draw tags. I’ll just keep my head down and be thankful for the good luck.

Just curious, what is the MM standard number of days to wait after my email comes to start asking for spots to hunt? I want to do things right when I start begging for honey holes.

I drew a muzzy deer tag, my third choice. Archery Barbary, my second choice. Rifle Javelina, my first choice. As a transplant and former lifelong resident of Utah, I sure love New Mexico’s draw system.
