Today was my opener and it went very well! He was with 30 does. I had to stalk in and crawl in on 62 eyes!

I'm heading out end of the month for my 2C hunt. I see a lot of people stay in hotels or Airbnbs. Am I crazy for trying to do the 2 weeks in a tent? The kodiak canvas with a little buddy heater stays pretty warm at night. Just did a test run on my cow hunt in northern NM.

Cow hunt was a success! Now it’s time to get ready to chase late season mule deer!

Made you look.... But for real I actually have a 16D tag, but don't wanna talk about elk. Any local diners or cafes in the area that you all would recommend? Ive not been out to that side of NM yet and I am antsy to explore.

I'm losing my mind waiting for this seasons to kick off, so I'm doing some planning and scouting for next year and looking at an elk & antelope unit near Lander. Would anyone who lives near there mind answering a few questions in a PM? I don't want spots, it's more just bump checking my plans...

For all of your guys who hunt with horses or who use guides with horses, this is directed to you. Is it worth trying once in my life or am I over playing it in my head? When I see pictures I just think it looks so awesome to watch people pack in miles with horses and come out with big racks on...

I just spent this last weekend in Kentucky for the opener and I had such a ball! Saturday morning's hunt ended at 7am with this nice bird! 23.5lbs, 9" beard, and 7/8-1" spurs

My 2017 started off great with this NW Florida public land bird. 17lbs, 10.5" beard, 1" spurs! To make it even better, this was my first long beard! I started turkey hunting last year and killed 4 jakes, so I was dead set on a long beard this year!

Needless to say, Ltsheets and I had a great day. Both of our barb were taken within 90 seconds of each other. This was my first sheep hunting experience and one that I will remember forever. I'm still on cloud nine and in complete shock on how this hunt went.
