LAST EDITED ON Dec-03-13 AT 07:39PM (MST)[p]Idaho thread gets kinda boring at times so I decided to share. We Had fun hunting elk this season, opening morning of our hunt we saw 8 bulls and managed to get 4 bulls down, not sure if we will ever be able to top this!

Just curious what some of your thoughts are, how high of elevation will elk hang out towards the end of October and beginning of November? If there is no weather will some hang out high? 7-8 thousand feet? Any stories or thoughts would be good.

Just wanting to know peoples thoughts on figuring success for an area. Do you think that taking the total number days hunted in the unit and dividing it by the animals harvested, to see how many average days were hunted per animal taken, is a good way for figuring how succesful an area is?

Thought I would just share this, I came across this wolf kill last fall north of New Meadows. Hopefully it jazzes everyone up to go shoot a wolf this fall!

Just wondering if anybody knows if putting in with more than one person on a hunt increases, decreases or doesnt affect your odds of drawing? Hope the question makes sense.
