    Unit 58 and 100 - Elk

Unit 100 would be a hoot! Hunting elk in antelope country! Just be ready for longer shots due to lack of cover. I have no experience with 58.

Now with the Utah scope ban. I was thinking my muzzle loader maybe legal in other states ?

Arizona and Wyoming are your main 2 western states allowing scopes on muzzys.

SOLD La Sportiva ULTRA RAPTOR II MID LEATHER GTX Wide

This is a mid-height light hiker. More of a "fair weather" boot compared to a traditional Crispi boot. And the price reflects that.

SOLD La Sportiva ULTRA RAPTOR II MID LEATHER GTX Wide

$75 TYD And these "wide's" are more like a normal foot width. That's why they didn't work for me. I need a true wide.

    How about them 49ers!

The "stay healthy" part will be critical here. Wasn't fun seeing so many guys get dinged up yesterday. But that's part of it this late in the season. It's sure been fun rooting them on this season!

Attend or watch tomorrow's Utah Wildlife Board meeting (Nov. 28)

Why put that much energy into guesses? Fencing, winter/summer habitat restoration, water availability, aggressive predator control, winter feeding to name a few. But these things are hard to do and time a lot of time and resource. I'm not against trying things like weapons restrictions, but it...

Attend or watch tomorrow's Utah Wildlife Board meeting (Nov. 28)

The real problem with the proposal is that it did nothing to grow more deer. Just improve some quality. Hope the mule deer committee comes back with a proposal that actually focuses on growing more deer.

    Helping Our Deer Numbers

I do check the MDF Utah Facebook page occasionally. The last project I saw on there was from Dec of 2022, after the project had been completed. I'm not familiar with the WRI website. Where do we find that? I'll PM you as well @slamdunk

    Helping Our Deer Numbers

I'd agree with all of the above. Fencing is desperately needed in many areas. I live off of Hwy 89 in the central part of the state and it's carnage annually in the winter. Last winter was extreme. I'd also add in more water installations for when water is scarce on drought years. Let's not...

    Phonescope

I tried the magview all summer and fall, up until last week. It's definitely not made for a straight body spotter and not for me. Too finicky to get it right every time. Just went back to a phone skope set-up yesterday. So much better! Especially if you use their mobile app. It's more stable...

    Why overlap archery and rifle?

Well said and spot on! The squeaky wheel is who typically receives the grease in Utah. And the archers who lobbied for the change were vocal in enough of the right places, with enough of the right people.
