    Oregon Snake River Unit 159

I hiked about 6 miles up Freezout creek in the early 2000?s and killed an average 4pt. Back then I saw way more elk than deer. Can?t beat the views but they can definitely beat you in this unit. Get in great shape and plan your hikes carefully or you will hike thousands of vertical feet each...

    Parker Plateau Antelope

Hey there. Red Bluff CA is my old stomping grounds. I moved out to UT a decade ago. I have hunted the Parker/Plateau a few times over the years and killed a few average antelope. As mentioned above, finding animals will not be a problem. If you want to PM me, I'll be glad to help out with some...

    Website Glitch?

I think Rainbowpoop spreads fake news. I spoke with a master guide who interfaces with a LOT of people who used the draw system. He had not heard of any of the fairytale stuff mentioned on this thread. He only spoke of ease of use, privacy, and everything happening within the timelines...

    Time is Running Out!

Application fees are cheap!......and a great deal. I wish they would raise the fees to reflect the market value and let real sportsmen put their money where their mouth is. Anyone who really wants to hunt can dang sure afford to pay for it. I did back when I made very little and I still do now...

    61,62 early deer

Yes, they pull a few 180?+ deer out of 6?s every year. I think that every unit in Nevada probably has a few 180?deer. 6?s get crowded and you'll have to wade through some small bucks in search of a big boy. Good luck in the draws.????SS

Draw result date? 5/25 or 6/8??

It will be emails. I waited to make judgement until after the guide draw was complete. I watched that thread and saw that everything happened on time with emails being sent out to both successful and unsuccessful applicants. No need to speculate, look at the other thread on this forum. No...

    Arizona or Nevada? Thoughts

I'm assuming you are already playing the game in Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming? If not, concentrate on those first. I really liked hunting NV but it is a commitment for sure. Took me seven years to draw a decent deer tag. Hunt was great and I took a nice buck.???-SS

LAST EDITED ON Mar-13-18 AT 09:48PM (MST)[p]After reading all the chicken-little stuff on here, I logged on and everything went flawless. Advice for Kids

My son is 4 and he has been shooting a Henry mini bolt for a year. He can hold and aim it on his own now. Amazing how well he does with the safety rules. I killed two deer and a pronghorn with 162?s out of a 28 Nosler this year. Shots were between 500 and 175. None took a step. Blew the bullet to pieces on a deer at 175. PM me a number and I will text you a kill shot video. These bullets perform exactly like you would expect based on their...

    Unit 59 or 93 antelope

I had 59 a couple years ago. It's an awesome hunt for a nice buck. If you are caught up on a number it would be challenging. I saw over a hundred nice antelope but no real monsters. Pressure was livable and there were plenty of goats to hunt all day every day. I've spent a bunch of time in 93...

    LO vouchers for November 2018

There are a few landowner tags around to be had for $3500-$4000 but don't count on many eager responses as these are on the discount end of the spectrum. In my observation in UT and NV, 5k-7k is more the going rate. I can't speak for CO as I don't have any experience there. Good luck. ?????-SS

Do You Get Your Deer Scored

I've never had anything officially scored and likely never will. Certainly not if all scorers are like those on this thread with the ?don't waste my time? attitude. Early Area 6 Buck

Nice job on a great buck. 6 was tough this year with or without a guide. I think Madsnapper is either someone who killed a deer much smaller than yours, or he's a guide who got paid good money and couldn't find any good bucks this year. Either way, you know you're doing good when people are...

Selling Big Buck Location Part 2

LAST EDITED ON Sep-04-17 AT 06:31PM (MST)[p]I'm not sure that it is logical to assume that laws and standards governing other activities apply in any way to hunting. It is absolutely normal for specialized laws to be created to address specific problems/issues. For example, it's not illegal for...

Selling Big Buck Location Part 2

Not exactly true......Wyoming could write the law to govern the commerce related to the game which is under their control.
