Solar: Coming to a Winter Range Near You!

I agree with the above, all of the big box stores should have solar panels before BLM land is used for solar projects, those areas are already ruined in the case of wildlife habitat. Cover outdoor parking lots in city's and put solar on top of those structures.

Wyoming G and H non resident tags cut again

@letmgetbig I am genuinely curious how you think limited quota for residents is going to bring back the deer herd. Biologists claim pregnancy rates 95+ %. I believe getting fawns to 1 year old is the biggest hurdle. I think predators are a big problem, lots of bears, mtn. lions and coyotes...

What do you think it would take for region G to come back?

I fixed it for you, it's a buck measuring contest, not a dick measuring contest. (It's been mentioned before but you sure like to talk about dicks, kinda odd). Anyway, I only mention score to brag, and yes I am proud of those nice bucks, all three were killed early in the season. If I was good...

What do you think it would take for region G to come back?

I 100% agree👆. I've shot 3 mule deer in 10 years, two 180 bucks and a mid 190's buck. I could have taken a 170 every year in between but I killed elk to put meat in the freezer. I get it, not all Nonresidents have to shoot a buck, (I think Brian Latturner is one of the Non-residents who holds...

What do you think it would take for region G to come back?

Grizzly Bears and wolves are both very far from the biggest issue Region G mule deer face. Coyotes, mountain lions and black bears killing fawns are a big issue hunters can help with. Recently installed highway fencing and underpasses are currently saving deer. Harsh winters, drought, poor range...

What do you think it would take for region G to come back?

. This is all false, it's not Non-resident or Resident hunters who are at fault for the mule deer population decline in Western Wyoming. If predator populations were knocked down and if the weather cooperated the mule deer herds would increase.

    Winter range report

At what buck to doe ratio is a deer herd considered to be in good health? I think mandatory harvest reporting would be a step in the right direction. Get an accurate account of how many hunters are actually hunting the area and how many bucks are being taken. I guarantee a lot less resident...

SF 111 mule deer and whitetail separate hunting licenses, bad for mule deer.

This is a terrible idea. What senators do you believe may oppose this if they receive enough emails? Sen Driskill, should ask for whitetail deer to be type 3 tags for his ranch, if he wants it to be limited. Thank you for bringing this to Monster Muleys. I've been so busy I would have missed it...

    Seeking Wyo points partner.

Knowing the area where a big buck lives is valuable. Believe it or not there's not a big buck in every basin. If a guy has time to scout this offer probably isn't for him. I would wager there are plenty of guys with points, who don't have time to scout but who also don't want to hire an outfitter.

In 2014 I was very fortunate, I drew a random moose tag in the Wind River Mountains! After looking over quite a few bulls I decided this was the bull I wanted. In 2020 I was very fortunate in the draw again. I drew a Bison tag! I hunted a lot of days on the forest but ended up taking this...

All the big bucks died last winter. You should be able to draw with 0 points. All doom and gloom in the cowboy state. Good luck finding a 170 buck.😁

What do you think it would take for region G to come back?

I was replying some in response to all of the uneducated comments of Non residents wanting residents to be limited quota. You obviously didn't catch that. The comment about a 7 day head start was funny!🤣 The shed antler season head start is funny too, keep crying, you might get more than you...

What do you think it would take for region G to come back?

If the buck to doe ratios are good limiting resident harvest of bucks won't help the overall deer population either. Everything you listed could help contribute to improving trophy quality of bucks harvested. I guess it depends on how you define recovery. Overall herd health could improve with...

  34. JakeSwensen

What do you think it would take for region G to come back?

Wyoming should give residents a 7 day head start on opening day of archery and rifle season. Also let's stop point averaging. If you apply with someone in a party, the group goes into the draw with the points of the lowest point holder.
  35. JakeSwensen

    What's your opinion?

Wyoming G&F Department knows specific areas where deer already concentrate every winter. If snow had been cleared and deer fed the correct feed I believe it would have saved a lot of deer, especially fawns.

Colorado Unit 54 3rd Rifle Season

I hunted hard and saw what I consider a lot of deer. I never saw a mature buck. I saw plenty of 150 and smaller 2, 3, and 4 point bucks. One of the 3 points had matching cheaters. Maybe the hunt could have been great but the hot 50 degree days made it tough. Little to no daylight rut activity...
