I just got notified that I was the alternate for a Colorado 161 archery cow moose tag. I have already killed a bull so now I get to fill the freezer with some amazing meat. Any info on areas to find good concentrations of cows and good camp spots would be appreciated.

I drew a 41 antelope tag and the only public huntable land is state land. I am getting conflicting data in my research...can I camp on state land? Thanks.

I have don't the exact same thing you are thinking of because the year prior I saw tons of bears and the year I bought the bear tag I didn't see a single one. It varies year to year whether of not you will see them. It could be awesome or you may not see a single one.

From what I can tell they give 500 bull tags and 55 buck tags. I know they give a bunch more in 2nd and 3rd seasons but doesn't seem horrible during the 4th.

I believe it takes 3 points. Fairly easy to draw. Not sure if its worth waiting for a better unit.

So my 2 daughters, wife, and I all drew doe antelope tags. I figured it shouldn't be too hard to find a few does to fill the freezer but I do know there is quite a bit of private in these units. Anyone have general areas of public to find a few does? Thanks. Fuzzy

I am considering applying for the archery cow tag. I have heard it can be difficult to fine a cow. Would you agree with this statement? Which side of the mesa would you say is best. Whats the advantage of the later rifle hunt would be better? If this isn't a great option which other units...

So back to the original question...which unit has the best potential to kill the biggest bull with 18 NR points? If its a 400 great! If its a 350 or a 375 that is besides the point. Just looking for the best hunt chasing rutting bulls with either a rifle or ML.
