There’s an upgraded model of the Patriot coming out shortly. Woodman also has a bolt action muzzy and an updated variation of the TC Omega in the works. All smokeless-capable.

Lots of guys on ModernMuzzleloader shooting them. Everything Woodman builds is top notch.

No Bh209 requires a 209 primer (preferably a mag 209).

Bh209 is by far the best sub available. 777 is a close second. No, it isn’t any tougher to ignite than Pyrodex. You will get more of a crud ring with mag primers. Best bet is to use a standard or “muzzy” 209. Welcome to the 21st century. I didn’t think anyone was still using Pyrodex…lol.

Absolutely. “Clean” skull plate and antlers with “no meat or tissue attached” is pretty clear. The clean skull plate with antlers attached and no brain tissue attached. The antlers with no meat or tissue other than antler velvet attached.

Most western states now have transport regs that require antlers, skulls and skull plates have to be completely free of brain, spinal cord, meat and/or soft tissue. Nevada, Arizona, Oregon and Wyoming to name a couple. Here’s Arizonas rule which is pretty standard.

I wouldn’t buy any CVA garbage. If you already have one and like the Omega - I’d put a custom smokeless-capable barrel on it. Woodman Arms makes them. I’ve got two. Great shooters. You can shoot smokeless or any sub in them. Lots of posts over on ModernMuzzleloader about them.
