I turned back a deer tag this year & got an email saying my points were reinstated. The points showed back up on August 7th which was only a few days after Colorado got my request.

A non-resident with a life time license is still subject to the 1 elk tag & up to 10% of sheep tags rule for all non-residents. Once an elk tag is drawn by a non-resident everyone else is done.

I buy a NR hunting license in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon & New Mexico every year to apply for their draws & those states don't give me my license money back! I hunt California every year so I also buy a license there.
I thought we were awarded a point for being unsuccessful in the draw? The point would be given after the draw to be used for following years application.
I think some states, maybe Nevada, give you an extra chance in the hat for your current draw application? Each state has different rules...
