He was, I went 4 days early to scout. My son and him drove down after my sons football game the night before the hunt started.

Thanks Paul! Kind of ironic that my name on this site is DIYhunter and that AZ 3a/3c archery bull hunt will be my first paid guided hunt. About 3 years ago I signed up with Chappell’s Zero Outfitter Fees with 13 points figuring I would draw within 10 years, paying $3500 over that time period...

Not a big outfitter user but M Barboa @ Bullbusters Outfitting can hunt and knows that unit. Best of luck.

Thanks Paul, you and your son have come on pretty strong lately also. I know you can sympathize with the fact that it won’t be long and I’ll sure be missing these youth hunt opportunities.

My son was able to get another good buck on a youth hunt in NE NM over the Thanksgiving break. Despite all the doom and gloom of 2020 we have had a great year hunting together in creating the true trophy of life long memories.

Nice meeting you also! Have been fortunate enough to do that hunt with my daughter once and my son now three times. Stopping at Dandy’s after a successful hunt has become a family tradition.

The muzzleloader is a .45 LR Customs. The bullet used on this hunt was a 300 grain Parker Black Max. I like that bullet for pronghorn and mule deer but like the 300 grain Fury Startip 2 for elk. Bullets are swaged for a bullet to bore fit. 125 grains by weight of BH209.

96 yds. Got him early Saturday morning on opening day. We had him scouted pretty well. I was able to get some good video and may use in a Ramos Hunts and Video. It was just my son, his friend who also had a tag, myself, and the friends father. Was able to get him a nice buck on opening morning also.

Had a great hunt with my son a couple weekends ago on his youth pronghorn hunt. Had to hike into a roadless area, but it was well worth the hike! Best of luck to everyone on upcoming pronghorn hunts.

Was a good year, my son was able to get a nice buck on a youth hunt in our home state of NM and I had a great hunt in southern AZ on an unexpected draw tag.
