I surprised that the Forest Service already doesn't have a permitting system in place. If you want to graze, cut firewood, set up an outfitter's camp or remove any other item from the Forest property you need a permit. --Bill

I think that now that G&F has retained the elk hunting, the public should be allowed to hunt all legal animals there. Unit 6 should be returned to a single unit including the Baca Grant, or 6B should be a refuge and 6A should be combined with 6C. I find it hard to believe that elk and turkey...

Ok, so I went up and looked from one of the observation parking areas. What's so good about 6b, most of the bulls I saw only had one antler. What's up with that? Why would anyone want to hunt one antler bulls?

Are they near 6B or 9? I hear those are pretty good.
